It doesn't have to involve sending Jonas out. It could just mean upgrading from Jaxson/Billy. The team's biggest need is just getting a third playable center.

A starting caliber power forward who can do what Hayes is supposed to do (secondary rim protector, switchable, roll man, corner shooter) is the biggest need imo

Charlotte should draft Scoot and trade Lonzo. I wouldn't want to pay that ugly, injury prone dude anyway.

Except LaMelo is a more talented player than Lonzo.

Exactly, Lamelo is substantially better than lonzo and has shown he can make a big impact on a team. I would not just toss him aside like hes trash.

CJ is being paid top 10 SG money, which is where he should be at. His contract isn’t bad compared to other ones. He easily can be moved.

Yeah, that’s a 1000% yes on Orlando’s end and probably a No on Charlotte’s end.

But Suggs is actually a cleaner fit next to Lamelo and I’m not 100% out on him. I watched way too much league pass last year and Suggs has definitely had moments. Including against Steph Curry as a defender.

Still feels like Orlando would have to either add more picks to that package or go the opposite direction and do something like pick 6 and Franz for Scoot (which is unlikely).

Are you saying he's a top 10 SG?

Just a reminder, wasn’t but a few months ago many here considered BI untouchable

Somewhere, in the back of my mind where I almost don’t want it to come out, I’m in excuse land

BI: Still recovering from the knee issue which is why he seems less willing to run and more willing to settle and his 3 ball lift is a bit off

Zion: Seemed SICK as frick in the interview post game. I’ve never seen him struggling to breathe like that ever, even immediately after a game was over where he played to the end. Being sick would explain the lack of effort and it seems feasible that we would play him sick since he just got back from injury

Does that fix all our scheme issues? Nah. But it would explain why both players have looked a bit a shell of themselves

I swear y'all don't know crap about basketball. BI would get traded before Zion and will most likely be traded before the deadline if things continue as is

I think that some people (rightfully imo) believe that Griffin and Willie may be too attached to trade BI away

That being said we have a while until the deadline. Let’s see what we can do in the meantime. I certainly haven’t given up yet

It's because most people on here are either young as hell and haven't seen this franchise repeat the same mistakes for decades or old as hell and is ok with mediocrity and good vibes aka let the good times roll!

Most GM's would agree. However, Griffin is in love with BI and considers him a superstar.

Then the question is, why the f is the front office and head coach so enamored by bi? What does he have on them, or what does he do, to be held in this regard?

All this means to me is that this organization has never been, and never will be, a serious organization. Griffin is the wrong gm and Willie is the wrong coach if these morons are so fixated on a player who hampers this team so much. Trade bi, build around your number 1 pick. This isn’t rocket science but this team likes to get cute as if they’ve done ANYTHING in the league. This org is a joke and the pels are soft af, the league knows this.

There was a time not that long ago that pretty much everyone on this board was ready to give BI a max and lock him up for like 5 years

I imagine that being part of the inner workings of what’s going on and seeing the behind the scenes would make anyone less prone to recency bias, which is probably why many on this board are ready to move on faster than the organization is
