Pels were 1st in the west with Zion leading them, we have a losing record with BI leading us.
Im trading Ingram and getting other guys to help take some load off Zion.
The internal strife that would create would be legendary.

This offseason is going to be insufferable. The amount of Zion bill shite is going to be mind numbing.

Any team trading would be trading for his potential. In that 15-20 game span he was absolutely dominant. Like MVP-esque dominant. Unless you can hit a home run with a Luka or other top 10 talent I don’t see a trade happening.
Zion is still young (turns 23 this off-season). He’s worth at least another year to see if they can get his training regimen and his mental game together.

3 years is not enough time for you?

A player with his potential? No.
Which is why another team may swing for the fences to acquire him. Landing a guy like Luka would be worth a Zion trade.

Ingram’s value is what it is, it’s not going any higher and he’s due a new contract soon.
You trade Zion right now you’re getting about 1/4 of what his value should be because of the injuries. You have to keep rolling with him before taking that, but to keep rolling with him you have to add more high level shooting/defense around him. Trading Ingram is the way to get that.

When he's not playing? No
When he is playing, yes
When Zion plays, it's simply a breathtaking experience to watch. There's almost no one in the league as much fun to watch as Zion Williamson.
Every Pelicans fan wants to see Zion play, and they will support him when he plays.

Top 5 player that hates to lose for this 22 year old fat slob that does not give a shite? Sounds pretty one sided, doesn't it?
I don’t see anyway he ends up staying in Dallas. They have no way to really improve that team. Kyrie was a Hail Mary and they still didn’t make the playoffs.
Zion and some pieces could be best trade they get. Zion has shown he is very good, maybe they believe they can motivate him and keep him on the court.

Nets: Dame, Ingram
Blazers: Simmons, Val 4 1sts from Nets, 2 1sts from Pels
Pels: Bridges, Claxton, DFS
F that trade. Ingram, Val, 2 first for that, hell no.

Why on earth would the nets do that trade? Some of you live in fantasy land.
I'm also adding in a frickton of picks because I am tired of it all

I think he’s just a weird kid with no concept of optics.
Posted on 4/13/23 at 10:26 am to iwyLSUiwy
Because we all know once he leave NOLA he'll magically be healed and will play 72+ games every season the rest of his career.

Bridges is just as good as Ingram and actually plays defense.
Claxton is better than Val.
DFS is a stud on defense and gives you another long switchable defender.
Those three are absolutely worth Ingram and 2 1sts, Val is throw in because he’s no longer needed with Claxton

Why not? He's pretty much been a useless bench rider his stay here.

I agree and if people think this wont happen next year, I dont know what to tell them. Sometimes you need to get rid of that dark cloud so you can start over.

Yep. Why event torture yourself in entertaining it? I’m checked out of all NBA shite until we actually hit the court for the regular season.

Why not keep JV and have him come off the bench? Love Larry, but it seems that he is now becoming injury prone. I do give Larry credit for gutting it out and playing when he's not 100%, but but his play has fallen off drastically in the last few months, likely due to his accumulated injuries.
JV is not injury prone and he is a great team mate. He has 1 more year on his contract at $14 mill. If you get Claxton, I say ride with JV and decide what to do with him in 2024.

Will the fans support him?
the ONLY way he wins over this fanbase is 1.) stay healthy and 2.) play at an MVP level...
to do #2, he has to do #1, and i have ZERO faith that he can do that...
time to move on...

ESPN has been on board with trading Zion since before the draft.
The media hates major players being on smaller market teams. If Giannis hadn’t won a chip in Milwaukee, they would be agitating for a trade of him by now.
