CJ shot 39% from 3 last year. Trey shot 41%. Hawkins in college shot 39%.
relying on a rookie as the third guy to improve our spacing is wild. Is he even going to play? Meanwhile other good teams have more than just 2-3 reliable three point shooters.

Well BI is one of them as well but you wanted spacing around him.

I didn't say they were. I said they'll be taking the 3s. 1 or 2 of those guys needs to improve and if they do we'll be ok

BI hardly shoots 3s anymore.

He shoot’s roughly 4 a game. I expect the team as a whole will shoot a lot more this season and not even counting Hawkins, we have 3 guys shooting 39%+ from 3 on at least 4 attempts a game.

If Hawkins contributes, we are finally in decent shape with shooting.

Part of the reason they are bringing Borrego in is to shake things up. I'm not saying he'll have the same influence as Finch, but Uncle Al preached pace and ball movement for 2 years with little to show for it. We didn't see it regularly until Finch arrived. So the hope is Borrego can do what Finch did and get the team to actually execute on offense instead of freelancing their way to ISO possessions so much.

We better not. What has his "veteran leadership" done for us? I'd rather give that money to a guy who can maybe play. If you like temple that much then hire him as a coach

It is the final spot on the roster. That isn't a guy that will play. That final spot is usually reserved for a veteran that knows his role and isn't going to be a malcontent in the locker room.

And as far as veteran leadership goes, this team for what we know has had great chemistry outside of Zion. I'm quite sure Temple has been a valuable part of that process

Besides being the best dressed player in the NBA; Temple is married to a former Miss USA winner whose day job is as a Nuclear Engineer.

Dude may have lost some points as a player due to age - but he is ranked as elite in the human being category.

It would not hurt to have a guy like this around.

And he is a local

Sure but it's just not relevant.

The Heat just went to the Finals wasting a roster spot on Haslem.

The Nuggets won the title wasting a roster spot on the corpse of Deandre Jordan. The 15th spot on the roster isn't changing anything we're doing or can do. I get wanting a younger guy but it just doesn't really
matter enough to really be concerned about, especially when we have 3 2-way slots now available to us.

Not sure why Haslem continues to be paid for doing nothing. It has been going on for about 7 years now. The argument can be made that he is an icon and he has been there his entire career (and was actually a valuable player for then for a period). We do not owe Temple anything. He has only been here 2 years and has not been a valuable player. Jordan played 3-4x the minutes Temple did last year and even started a few games.

Dumb take. Especially the way this team is injured. We are not making roster moves when someone is going to be out a couple games. I’d rather have a 15th person that can actually play a little.

Bringing him back would be wasting a roster spot. Player's coach or someone in management is the best option

Yeah sure lets compare the pelicans to the heat/nuggets- two of the deepest teams in the league last year that made the finals. Reggie Jackson didnt get playing time either on Nuggets and Haslem was a vital part of their championship years ago and in Miami personfies heat culture. Temple is not that and never has been. Agree with you here we owe Temple nothing and could use the spot to develop young talent. Another argument acting like we’re a clear contending team by comparing ourselves to the two teams that made the finals last year lol. Im in agreement with you here, its just ridiculous to me though how certain people on this board compare this team to the two of the deepest rosters in the league last year. Miami literally had guys like vincent and struss come off the bench leading them to playoff wins.

Temple didn't play hardly last season and whoever you think should have been in his place wouldn't have either so feel free to tell me how that would make this big difference you incorrectly think it would make.

That young guy who wouldn't play just like Temple didn't play, if we had him we'd win more games!!!!!

That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying he’s a waste of a roster spot. When Temple got in at times, I’d rather a young hungry guy getting a shot or some experience.

Crazy to think that Temple made more money in the NBA than all of his teammates at LSU considering the high school all-american and SEC honors of the team.

He has had an awesome career at LSU and the NBA.

He is the team muscle and makes sure no one bows up at the coach. I think it was Butler that snapped at the coach and Haslem stepped in-between. Dudes are scared of him.
