This clip gives you some insight and explains explains SVG's mentality and why players don't like playing for him. NSFW due to language.

Not saying I want SVG back, because I don't, but Zion was at his healthiest under him.

SVG was a joke. Gilbert put it perfectly. You fat mf’er go out there and do what we are doing!

They are weak minded.
Is it because he was a short white guy saying it or because they think coaches should not coach that way?
Gilbert said it himself they would say stuff to each other if they were sucking.
There is potentially a time and a place for that kind of coaching. The excuse is the same thing they discuss about previous generations of basketball being more competitive. There has always been this created sense of internal shame when you don’t go out their and meet expectations. Now the perspective is that that competitiveness it not there.
It all just a game. Maybe SVG was too hard on that tactic, but it sounds like he was getting on to guys to drive a highly intense competitive game.
Honestly this is criticism that Nick Saban has always gotten in college football.

Nick Saban is a funny example. His shtick might work on kids in college but it surely didn't work in the NFL with grown men.

At least he could get zion to play more than 29 games.

Only a moron would think this was “perfect”.

While that's true. He also suffered the Jones fracture injury in the offseason after playing for SVG. Either way, Zion's health is mostly on him.

Zion’s health is 100% on him

Yep...obviously the Dolphins saw that Saban couldn't do the job at the NFL level...and couldn't wait to run him off as soon as they could. They luved it when he left & went to Bama.

I am a Dolphins fan. The only reason I was upset he left Miami was because he went to Alabama, but that was the LSU fan in me. His methods absolutely didn't work in an NFL locker room.

Seriously, I think the Brees situation, was the straw that broke the camel's back...for Saban...and eventually led to his decision to leave Dolphins. (Edit) And btw...I luv your new Coach down there. He will do well.

There wasn’t much food left laying around when SVG was here….

Is the responsibility to do better 100% on Zion? Yes. That doesn't mean the team can't put structures in place to help him get there. I agree with SVG and Paul George. Practicing hard hardens your body for the physically demanding NBA grind.
Hopefully we'll see that play out this season with BI at least with his Team USA play.

Nick decided to pass on him. The blame for that could be found in the nearest mirror.

Assuming you're being serious...uhh...OK

Saban had the first chance to sign Brees and said no, that’s 100% on Saban. On top of that, he was horrible at roster management and had no idea how to build an NFL team.
If he’s such a good coach, why wasn’t he able to overcome not signing Brees? A new coach came in right after and won the division with a lot of the same players.

Lol no it's not. The team doctors told him his shoulder was done. Nick got bad advice.

He had the final say and I doubt Miami’s doctors said anything different that our doctors. Saban’s nfl tenure showed what kind of coach and decision maker he is when he isn’t able to out talent everyone else.

A visit with JA was what made Saban a wee bit irritated...with Dolphins' team doctors' opinions.
