It seemed pretty clear that he just didn’t want to play this year, along with Bledsoe as well….although Bledsoe never decided to just “not play”….

Idk, it seemed JJ he was legitimately trying and struggling early in the season. Eventually it did look like he was just done with it, but he was visually frustrated during that initial awful shooting slump.

Agree on Bled though, he never gave a single frick

so if he can't make the big move, are we ok with smaller moves? I totally don't understand the point of the question.

I see Dinwiddie as more than a double, I'm talking a few really small moves, trading for short term contracts, etc etc.
In that case, no. I think it's playoffs or bust this season, as stupid as that is.

I ask the question because I see this place melting pretty hard if we are adding some short term B and C level players that just fit better instead of the Brogdon's and Lowry's etc that we have discussed.

Well if we aren’t adding big pieces like he qualifies then there are no other choices...

Right and the question is, "would you be okay with that, or would you melt?"

what's the alternative after no big moves, no pieces? No singles. No additions?

I can't imagine the FO sitting on their hands. The Pels have been tied to everything and don't appear to be afraid to spend. What I think they could end up doing that would be underwhelming at first but work out in the end is not adding a "PG" at all and just add wing shooters and some solid bench players.

Right, I think Griff cashes in future picks before just sitting on his hands this offseason.

I would also be okay if they just decide to choose 2 shooters and no lead guard, though it wouldn't be my first choice. Something like Powell + McDermott

Honestly, all we need are single and doubles.

We have 2 under 25 all stars, their development is most important.

If Zion comes back with a pull up jumper/3? It’s lights out for most of the league.

I’d rather smaller moves this year with improved coaching and young players developing, then make a big move next year to really push us into contention.

Next years FA market will be crazy!

I don't think people will melt.

I've been saying they should split the money up and grab a bunch of McDermott type players.

I think that we need to plan to finish with a top-4 record in the Western Conference.

The front office needs to get us the pieces to accomplish that.

I think it’s almost impossible to get star players to come here. I wouldn’t put past Lebron’s girlfriend ( D) to bad mouth our Pelicans to most players

I’d much rather that than some Omar Asik, Solomon Hill, Steven Adams type signing that can cripple us for years.

Zion
BI
NAW
JV
Kira
Hart
Murphy
Kira
Jac
and a few vets… if Zion and BI are truly all stars. JV is already and established top 10 center. As such, these guys plus some additions should be easily enough to put us into a solid playoff seed. If they aren’t truly all stars than no.

After listening to Locked on and reading pels Twitter, there apparently has to be some other move in the works via a trade to take on someone on. Sounds like no one is expecting this to be the final team

One convincing reason: we gave up a first to sign graham when we could've made space to sign him outright (assuming Charlotte didn't match). But now this S&T along with Lonzo's S&T can be worked into the Memphis deal to allow us to take on 20 mil more in salary.

Very few people are mad at Graham the player (and especially the contract)

They're mad at trading the pick

The flip side is that we struck out and don't have other options so we assume there are more moves because of how it all unfolded
