Don't disagree with anything he's said.

I'm very big in the zero chance we should trade Zion right now camp, but still don't really disagree with JJ that if Zion is woefully out of shape right now at this moment, then I can't really argue against it.

But overall, I'm definitely on Team Run it Back!

I think what he said about what type of shape Zion is in right now is pretty on point. If he's not in fantastic shape right now, mid June, it'll never get through to him.

I'm personally on the side of I think he's just injury prone. Don't matter what type of shape he's in. He was in really good shape when he suffered the injury last season, and then couldn't ever get back from it.

Certainly cannot tell if he is in "basketball" shape by videos or photos, but in the infamous gender reveal video, he appears to be fit.

Same can be said for panicking and making irrational decisions.

It's hard to make a case when i find the team chemistry questions fascinating of how zion really meshes with everyone off court/lockerroom/ even on court a bit.

Well according to Moriah Mills hes not lol. I think JJ is on point but he didn’t mention anything in regards to Scoot. How you view Scoot is a big reason why you even consider a trade like this. There must be something the organization sees in Scoot that must make them consider having these trade discussions for the number two pick. I like him a lot. Is he generational talent? I dont know thats really tough to say.

I do think the organization loves Scoot. How to get there is the issue. Without Bi or Zion, it is impossible. My guess is Griff is hoping to do it with a ton of draft picks and some young players. That will not get a deal done though. That's why I think the media (with help from the Hornets) is making a mountain out of a mole hill.

There's no chemistry issues when he's on court, we were elite when he was on court last season, everything worked as well as we could have hoped then.

And hell, even with Zion and BI, it still may not be doable.

I think that's probably true for Portland because they want a significant player who can help Dame now.

Charlotte is probably the only realistic path without giving up Zion or BI. They can have a choice of a young player and multiple first round picks(3) with low to no protection. It depends on how much Charlotte likes Brandon Miller and how much they want to get out of the pick. I personally don't think there will be a better deal on the table. Either they seriously consider our offer or they pick #2.

Yeah team chemistry is overated honestly. See kobe and shaq, nobody liked playing with Jordan, nobody thinks Jokic and Murray are like best friends. Zion on the court meshes with this group and honestly makes us a top seed, its his health and conditioning issues which never seem to go away.

Come on now. Every single duo you listed had great chemistry on the court.

I'd rather take my chances that Zion matures than give him away for just Scoot.

Zion, BI, Trey, Herb, CJ is about as good a foursome as there is in the NBA. Add in Jose and an improved Dyson and this team is as talented as any in the league.

Run it back. Upgrade Jonas if you can and add a shooter to replace Naji.

I agree with all of that. It’s possible he’s ballooned in size again, although he looks far less large in his recent photos as he has in the past.

Two season ago for that opening press conference he looked like a dude that ate Zion Williamson lol

With no superstar coming in return, you have to pick number 2. You make trades for draft picks so you can eventually be in position to pick a franchise guy at number 2. Honestly if Im a Hornet fan, I would tell them pick Scoot and figure the rest out later. Talent is talent. But of course its the hornets so they’ll do something dumb.
