And people argued with me when I said he was a bad pick. They should have always aimed for potential with that pick
He’s the exact opposite of Jordan Poole. Instead of ungodly irrational confidence, he has none.

Hawk is an excellent catch and shoot shooter.
Except that he's not.

Hawkins was a wasted pick but Missi is looking better and better. He is basically our only rim protection on the team and he’s learning how to use his athleticism to become an all around better player.

Context also matters. Even if Missi were a bust, he was taken pick 21 in a historically weak draft. He is just a bonus if he pans out.

When he didn't gain weight or reached out to Ray Allen when Ray Allen wanted him too I lost all hope for him.

I do think Missi has flashed defensively for periods of time since he’s been on the team. I just wish he could be a little more aggressive in scoring. I know his moves are fairly basic but sometimes he has chances to go up and he dishes it when the basket would be easy.
I think with some offseason work he could definitely increase his role at the very least.

Every team in college basketball seems to have a Missi type these days. Dime a dozen.

He certainly hasn't shown why he was a first rounder. I expected much more from this young man but it seems he has peaked during his rookie year.

Missi has potential. Hawkins another terrible pick by Griffen

He’s actually somehow regressing. He’s gone from worst player in the league this year to competing for worst player in NBA history. His atrocious offense is only topped by his horrendous defense.

You cannot convince me that he isn’t the worst player in the NBA.
ok, i won't try, but i don't think he's the worst one...
he's been an incredibly huge disappointment, but i do somewhat feel sorry for him b/c being coached and misused by Willie Green destroyed any and all confidence he had in himself and at this point, he is psychologically damaged (as far as the game of basketball, i don't think he's a crazy person)

There are 20 guys on the street who would be better than him.

Missi has been playing well as of late. He is only 21 and was the 21st pick. The 21st pick in the 1st round is not the same in the NBA as NFL.
I can see Missi continuing to improve.
Hawkins Sucks
