On Reddit and Realgm everyone thinks we are batshit insane for not taking the deal. What am I missing here?

Rudy Gay's name is at least 1 tier bigger than Ryno's name. I'm also not sure people realize how old he is. I didn't even think about it until corndeaux made a comment, but he's 29. He's not over the hill yet, but 7 years is a pretty big age gap if he's going to be the 2nd or 3rd banana to our 22 year old franchise player.

Gay dropped 24 points and hit the game winner for the Kings last night, and plays small forward, a position that this organization has needed to fill for the last five years, but let's keep Ryno's useless stepbakcs, balarena spins, bricked threes in the fourth quarter, and constant complains to the refs whenever he misses a shot.

If Gentry is still serious about his stupid system, then we have to trade the whole team. No one on this team fits his system. Not even Anthony Davis. Jrue is the only one who slightly fits, and even he goes on bollhogging rampages

And this is why the board has been so melty this season. Gentry exposed a roster that many of us, including apparently the FO, felt only needed a handful of additions, tweaks and flips. Even if you bring in a Thibs or JVG that still puts your long term pieces as AD, Jrue and maybe QPon. The same as with Gentry. I could also see Thibs or JVG making Asik more viable. But that still means turning over more than 75% of the roster and you only have 2 of 5 guys that you want on the floor at the end of games.
