“Shell” depends on how you examine him.
Offensively? A step behind the old days but still pretty good.
Defensively? Crap because he quit trying so that he could keep his energy for offense.

Lebron would kill to play for the pels
The pels knew Davis was a loser
Getting rid of injured Davis was best thing to happen to pels

He doesn't care what the franchise looks like after he's gone. He mortgages futures so he can chase a title, then leaves for the next chance.

Which is why he will never be in real GOAT conversations.

A YouTube blogger made a good point this morning.
James has actually exceeded the hype from when he entered the league but his attempts to pass Jordan as the GOAT have made him one unlikeable motherfricker.
He would have been safely number two or in the discussion for one if he hadn’t been transparently phony as frick on a number of things.

Lebron needs 574 more points to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar which is approx about 20 more games given his average, which coincidentally falls near the Feb 4th matchup vs the Pels.
If the losses continue to pile up thru January, I fully expect him to go into hibernation mode once he gets the scoring record in early February.
If I had to bet, I'd bet LeBron "times" it to either be the last game before the All-Star game AT HOME vs the Pels on 2/15...or...the first game back after the All-Star game, once again AT HOME vs the Warriors on 2/23. The two home games with the Pels & Warriors are sandwiched between 5 road games.
There will be a HUGE countdown extravaganza cranked up once it gets close...and I can't imagine LeBron breaking the record anywhere but...LA, if LeBron has his choice and of course, he does.
Question is...what does LeBron do for those final 22 games or so that are left, once he breaks the record? Gotta feelin' the Pels are gonna like the way he approaches those last 22 games.

I didn't hear a trade demand, I heard a prelude to I'll see y'all next year...maybe.

I think his biggest issue now is he doesn’t care enough to carry a team. He does what comes easy and doesn’t care about the rest.
I’m glad to see them implode but that is blatantly disrespectful to lebron’s body of work

Can't see LeBron making any kind of move until he figures out where Bronny is gonna end up playing.

In Lebron's case, disrespectful is more just honest assessments of his body of work. When you go your whole career playing only for your own glory and gratification, people have a right to critique your total play in assessing you, especially, being that basketball is a team sport. He is a physical specimen. He is talented. As a leader and as a role model and ultimately as a winner, he is weak-minded, shallow and selfish.

He would have been safely number two
If someone doesn't have Lebron in their top 2 are says MJ is better "and it's not close" is simply not being rational or logical.
He's very much in the discussion for GOAT, doesn't matter how much or little one likes him.

Bill Russell? Wilt? Larry Bird? Magic?
Not even in the fricking discussion next to Jordan and LeBron?

I had a LeBron Stan tell me with a straight face that LeBron is (and would be) a great GM because he’s won titles with all of the teams he played on. This guy didn’t understand that if he made the moves that he’s forced teams to make and he was a GM and not a player he would have been fired and probably never hired again
Posted on 12/29/22 at 1:48 pm to Epic Cajun
Any GM who makes a lot of “win now” moves may keep their job in the short term but they have to have a rebuild plan for when things fall apart.
LeBron’s rebuild plan is “move to another team.”
LeBron’s rebuild plan is “move to another team.”
Posted on 12/29/22 at 1:53 pm to teke184
I think this guy just assumed LeBron would do like he’s done as a player, make a ton of win now moves, win a championship, ruin the entirety of the team’s future, and then just get hired by another team, rinse and repeat. The big difference is that LeBron won’t have himself on all of these hypothetical teams that he would be the GM of
