I'd be all for adding Hield/Bagley for Bled/Adams without us having to give up any 1sts.

If anyone can sell Bled/Adams as the veteran leadership the Kings need to take the next step it's Griff.

Your argument is that Kispert can't contribute year one but you have JT Thor, Keon, and a two year older Duarte ahead of Kispert. That is interesting. I'll just say we disagree on some of these guys and how they would fit on this roster in both the short and long term. IF we keep the pick, I would hope that we don't select a raw 4 or 5 man or a guard who can't shoot.

That would be a win win for us so I don’t know why the kings would do it

Two less years of guaranteed money, and they can still try and flip Bledsoe at the deadline this year.

You also have 2 malcontents that have disappointed who don't have much, if any, trade value. A GM that didn't draft/trade for either and has harped on getting financial flexibility. You might need to add some 2nds, but it doesn't seem like a crazy swap, especially if they lose Holmes.

The kings would get out of Buddy contract. Plus Bled could be valuable at the trade deadline since he basically an expiring contract.

Lol. Yup.

Folks dont seem to get that both Bled and Adams are essentially expiring soon, which is ideal for us whether we trade or keep.

That's my only concern if we traded both for longer term guys.

If that next big, disgruntled star like Dame wants out at the deadline then I'm not sure who we're adding to salary match

That's AT LEAST the 7 seed, maybe 6th if there are injuries to other teams. I'd say its more realistic as well compared to hoping for Dame

I don’t think there’s a scenario where we trade for Dame without including BI.

I’m actually starting to believe that won’t happen here, unless the Pels show they can be a contender.

Recent “star” trades have proven that when these guys ask out, they can basically pick where they want to go….and it’s almost always a big and more desirable market.

I don’t believe we get any of the disgruntled stars until the Pels are a solid playoff team with our homegrown stars. We will have to use what we have to get us into the playoffs before we can consider using our “war chest” to bring in the next all star that wants out.

I suggest my original thought on this trade:

9, 22 Lakers FRP, Iwundu, Gabriel to Cavaliers
10, Bledsoe to Kings

Sexton, Buddy to Pelicans.

Do we try to S&T Ball with those moves? We are certainly a tax team if we re-sign him.

I’d rather let him go and see if we can get something low cost for him, and roll with Sexton and NAW as my back court starters.

Try selling that to Zion

I would think Sexton would be a bit of a sell anyways, but I can’t see us improving while paying Ball $20 plus million over the next 4 years.

Can you explain what's so bad about that?

If Zion wants to make the playoffs, then he needs to do it himself, and he needs to make sure BI is helping the way he should. Everyone else is just role playing.
If he wants to win here, he simply needs to look at what Giannis just did and copy that. Its on Zion, not Sexton/NAW.

Are you starting Buddy or NAW?

I don't like the idea of not having a first round pick this year, or trading 2 firsts, one being a top 10, for Sexton when it appears that's an overpay, at least based on reports.

when is the last time a media member got one of their random trade machine ideas correct? I guess they make for good discussion but kind of pointless as they're rarely steeped in reality
