Got to see if Willie will throw Hawkins in so quickly or wait patiently. Usually most of our rookies play early because a player gets hurt. I do want to see how EJ Lidell plays though.

Hornets are just plain desperate for talent.

They have Melo and Miller but not much else as of now.

He’s on a 1 year deal. No team is going to trade for him without some assurances that he wants to be there.

Josh Hart has opted into his $12.9 million contract

Would Hart be worth $13MM to the Pelicans? In a theoretical bubble...

Nah, we have too many wings at this point.

We need bigs, multiple bigs at the 4 and 5.

Knicks get Kyle Kuzma and JV
Pels get Mitchell Robinson
Wizards take on Fourniers contract and get a 2 firsts from NYK.

Kuzma will get way more money than the salary sent out in this deal.

define way more.

i was assuming a 4/$100M contract.

Obi Tobbin needs to go out as well. The Knicks don't want him anyway. It's an even trade salary wise for the Knicks if it's $25M/yr for Kuzma and Toppin also goes out.
There's other stuff that needs to happen behind the scenes, like Monte Morris going out to another team to get dumped, which shoudln't be hard to do.

I still don’t know all the new rules yet, but I thought you can’t do a three team sign and trade?

So if it’s two transactions, you are suggesting that the Knicks will trade us Robinson for JV straight up? I don’t see why they would do that

Blazers released Trendon Watford. Larry had this to say...

Quote Tweet Adrian Wojnarowski @wojespn · 1h The Trail Blazers are waiving forward Trendon Watford, sources tell ESPN. Watford, 22, had two productive seasons with Portland and joins the free agent market with some upside value for teams.

He will get a 4/120 at least from someone with cap space. Knicks would have to send out more salary, not to mention they would also be pushing into the tax.

Also to add, why would we trade Jonas for someone that costs more and pushes us into the tax?

Wonder if they just needed a roster spot. He has a very low salary for a backup big.
