45-49 wins. Playoffs. Subject to revision at the deadline if we are able to get someone who is a needle mover.

But, I really wanna say, notwithstanding being objective and reasonable, that I truly believe this team will come together sooner than later, coalescing around Coach Green and the collective determination as a team to be attentive, focused and play hard for him on the defensive end.

With that, I think our clear advantage and improvement will be in transition and secondary to that, will be hitting our trailing shooters who will find the soft spots in opponent's transition defense, specifically Murphy and Graham.

And I am a firm believer, the Sleeper pick of the whole draft, Straitjacket Jones becomes an integral part of the rotation by Christmas and elevates the 2nd unit to Top 5 bench unit in the League. His intangibles, ability to impact the game defensively regardless of where he is positioned and his sneaky ability to lead a fast break off the rebound will switch the doubters to bandwagoners when the playoffs start.

Lastly, the Pels are due for some good fortune. I think the basketball gods bestow upon the team this year with relatively good health, suprising depth and a team that is a 2nd round playoffs LOCK! Think Atlanta this past year, but sub Trey and Collins for Zion and Slim Reaper. Yikes!

I'm not trying to be a downer. OP asked about making a bet, based off a projection. I hope we exceed all expectations and win the Championship. But if I was putting money on it, I'd bet under. I'm not losing money to prove I'm a fan.

This is my team and I will support them no matter what. I've stuck behind them through all this other crap. So I believe that proves my loyalty. I don't have to shine them on and praise inane moves just to show it. I'm not a cheerleader.

Good point about the Lakers. But they started Green and KCP, backed up by Rondo and Caruso, not counting James being their true PG. I'd love a few vets backing up our guys now. I think that matters. I'd feel better for sure..

We would all feel better with some more veterans. The optimism isn’t so much from the players we have in the backcourt. It’s more from it literally can’t be worse than what we had last year. It can be about as bad, but really, a starter in the nba can’t play much worse than Eric Bledsoe did last season.

With all the off-season additions I think we neglect the positives we have in house.

Brandon Ingram is at the point in his career where he should be leading a team to the playoffs. He has to be “The Voice” and I believe he’s accepted the challenge.

Zion Williamson was basically a rookie last season and he still dominated. Year 3 is generally when talent takes off. Seems like the league will have to do more adjusting than Zion though so I believe he’ll be just fine.

Zion is the Headliner but BI will be our Most Valuable Player.

Just for fun: Who you think drop more 40 burgers next year, Zion or BI?

30’s?

Look man, if we have health and can't get to .500, I will be sounding the alarm on how good Zion really is.

Year 3, playing alongside a really good player in Ingram. Other solid role players. There is no reason to have a losing record this season if Zion is a legit top 10 player like we all think he is.

With that said, I've already hammered the over I got at 38.5 for the biggest single bet I've ever made so my confidence level is high which means... it could be bad

30pt games will be unquestionably Zion by a wide margin.

I'd go Zion as well for 40 but I can see a world where BI has a couple more just because he can score it from anywhere so it's generally easier to get a shot off in that regard.

Yeah I think ESPN will create some crazy 30pt streak that Zion demolishes next season.

30’s:
Zion
BI
NAW/JV

40’s:
BI
Zion
Graham

50’s:
TM3 da legend! And only him lol

If Zion were to become more ball-dominant, he'd both score more points and help the team win. There are far to many possessions when a Zion drive would be a better play, but Zion hands the ball off to someone else, and it gets passed around the perimeter, and someone eventually heaves up a bricked 3 at the buzzer. Zion can average 30 next season if he want to -- and he should want to, because the team would win more games.

I look forward to Zion getting a 50-point game this season.

4 games over got memphis into the 7-10 scrum.

38ish may be end of season.
38-42 may just be 10th.

its a splash of cold water.

frigging memphis media is banging on the host a series drum. they think 29 pt a game morant of playoffs is the 3rd year guy. he better have learned jumper form. I'd be shocked.
neither he nor zion needed to know how to shoot. until now.

is we win 40 or less, it better be because Zion missed half the season, which is a different can of worms in itself.

There is absolutely no reason this team shouldn't be above .500 with relative good health. If they can't be over .500 when healthy, then either BI or Zion, or both, aren't nearly as good as they are advertised to be.

We will win 45 games this year.

since there are 9 teams in the west who las Vegas has winning more than 40.5 that means more than 40 of the 82 will be against teams that are either much better on paper or about the same. and there are a few vs the top tier east. on the road your east 5 through 8 will be challenging.

45 is possible but it's no sure thing.
35 is just as likely. 40.5 plus or minus 5.

a lot depends on development.
hayes Lewis naw.
zion.
