How many minutes does Hawkins get if everyone was healthy? 12?

0 shot attempts for Z in the third qtr. great coaching.
He also came out of the half creating open shots for others.
I wouldn’t read much into his shots if he’s out there creating open looks for other guys.

Probably right around 15 if I had to guess

Oh look, we lost 5 in a row. Here comes one of those 15 game losing streaks Willie is known for.

quote:So, to clarify, you're on record as stating that the Pelicans team this season have fought their arse off and given great effort?
You mean like last game when we fought our arse off undermanned against one of the hottest teams in the league on their court?
Woo boy.
By the way, are you watching tonight? You think this is good effort on defense?
1 game out of 10 they played hard...you do realize you quoted me saying process and effort...1 game of trying is irrelevant when you have shite effort in the others.
quote:I can't believe you actually think this team is giving effort this season. This is wild.
I swear to God the fricking memory of this board is equivalent to a dog

Shel was talking about process and effort.
There's like 3 really good fricking things going for us right now
Zion and Ingram are healthy and playing games together
Hawkins is going to be really valuable off the bench where he belongs
Dyson might be able to play and legitimately start in the league. In year two.
Everything else is irrelevant until the end of November. Wins and losses are tertiary concerns until we have a far more healthy squad.

We're going on a 5 game losing streak and there's no end in sight. Our stars aren't doing enough to carry the team and our coach can't get these guys to play defense. It has all the markings of a long losing streak.

Like clockwork, start out ok then lose 15 straight and finish with around 38 wins lol. Just wait until everyone is healthy!

I think we all know this to be true (or at least most of us) but it’s hard to say just wait until we’re healthy for 4 years in a row
Even if it’s true

To be clear, just for some perspective,
48/180 minutes have gone to players I don’t think would touch the floor if we were healthy
55 if you count Larry
That means about 30% of our minutes are going to people that wouldn’t even be playing in our playoff rotation
If they can't keep you afloat when your stars are playing, it's game over.
Either they wake up, actually start trying and we see the switch get flipped. Or they don't, and we hope to be .500, whether BI/Zion are healthy or not.

Shel I can't even do this with you man. We won 4 games. Lost a close one due to depth and Zion being fat. Got blown out in the others. And you think we gave effort in 1/10 games. That math and mathin for me at all

I can't believe you are making sweeping judgements of a team playing JRE and Matt Ryan major minutes. That is wild

What record do you think the Nuggets have right now, without Jokic or Murray for the whole season?
I reckon they have 3 wins… maybe

Everyone waiting for this team to be healthy are either delusional or first year fans lol. Surely bi and or Zion will be done once everyone else returns lol
Posted on 11/12/23 at 8:06 pm to whatiknowsofar
Not being able to close out a game with a 5 point lead comes down to process and effort.
So the problem with two of these things that you think are "really fricking good" is that Ingram has been a net negative for us and Dyson is not a starter on a contending team until he shows that he can consistently score from different levels of the floor.

Did y'all watch the first couple of games? When we had CJ, Zion, BI, and Herb all healthy, we looked really good.
And that was with out-of-shape Zion and no Trey or Jose.

It is what it is. If we're never healthy none of this matters. I'm not losing my shite because all of our injuries are coming off the books in November

Jose must be all NBA hall of fame caliber. You guys think he walks on water. Just wait until __________ comes back….. rinse and repeat

Sure, but I think that had as much to do with who we were playing as it did that we were healthy.
No one is saying we're not better when we're healthy but the problem is 1) we're never healthy and 2) Even when we're healthy, we have some fundamental issues that probably has us topping out as like a 5-6 seed in the West.
