Yeah we basically need to nut up today and win, or we are going to have a rough go.

We need Zion back to pressure the league to want the Pels in the playoffs. The Pels are much more marketable with Zion playing. The Pels may not get overtly screwed over by officiating un play-in or playoffs with Zion.

So 8th seed is most likely?

seed is after play in games.

8th seed happens if
pels start in 9th or 10th place and win two play in games
or
pels in either 7 or 8 place, lose one then win one vs 9 10 winner.

I would guess that 5th seed is almost as likely as 8th seed.
5th takes 1 pels win and losses by certain teams who may prefer not to be 5th.
no one wants 5th.
5th plays Durant.
and then jokic.
lol. no one wants 5th.
suns get home court.
then Denver get a home court.
6th is coveted.
no one will complain about 7th since memphis bigs Adams 11.5 rebounds and clarke 10 and 5.5 off bench are out. they had to sign big boy la tech Lofton jr to a regular nba deal to put him on playoff roster.

It's crazy that we could be the 5 seed or 9 tonight.

there are 2 Pels 6 seeds in that chart too.
that's the best. several days off and the least scary opponents for 2 rounds.
thanks cgrand.

agreed but unfortunately for the pels, PHX is throwing the game. Not very likely

the takeaway here is that nothing matters unless the pels win today. Lose and they are 9 and that’s that

Pels most likely 8 or 9 win or lose. The other teams are double digit favorites to win their games today.

they cannot be 9 if they win
there is only one scenario where they are 8 if they win
they will be 9 if they lose

look at the chart

That’s what I meant. They likely won’t be higher than 8 with a win given the massive spreads in the other games.

8th and 9th are both "most likely" given who is playing and who isn't on each team.

But shite happens and who knows.

Today's game is going to be a war. We have to play really good defense to pull this one out. Road games are tough as it is already and our bench has to step up.

yes the most likely scenario is that LAL, GSW, LAC all win. In that case the pels will be 8 with a win and 9 with a loss

sucks but the pels had plenty of chances to make some space and they didn’t. That loss to GSW after blowing the lead would have made all the difference

Rudy Gobert (back spasms) is available this afternoon vs. New Orleans.

Austin Rivers is also active after missing the last five games due to an intestinal bug.

If only the refs weren't in the bag on that one.

Warriors are winning unless Portland makes about a 30pt comeback in the 3rd.

Phoenix is up over the Clip Show.

Lakers are up over the Jazz

If that plays out as is, we are 6th.

We would leapfrog the Lakers if we both win?

If we are in a three way with the Clippers and Lakers, we apparently become 6th, Clippers 7th, Lakers 8th.

Which means good seeding for us and that pick swap is worth something.
