I like Josh Richardson. Would be interested to see what it would take to pry him away from Miami. Would add another great defender and could bring the team to elite defensively, while filling the hole at the 3.

I doubt Miami is looking to get rid of guys, well, outside of Whiteside.
I like Taurean Prince in Atlanta. Would be awesome if we could send them Ajinca and a 1st for him, but i doubt that's enough.
If we are gonig to make some trade for a 3&D wing, then it's going to have to be with a team like Atlanta, Phoenix, Brooklyn, Orlando, Charlotte, Chicago, Sacramento.
We can't provide cap relief to any team that is looking to unload salary cap space like Toronto or Portland, or maybe Miami and Washington, unless we could do something like swapping Moore for a higher dollar player, thus saving them some cap space while still having a decent player, but why would we pay more for a slightly better Moore possibly.
Most of the only trades we can do, is for someone to take back a bad player, like Ajinca or Solo, so that means the only teams we would trade with or crappy teams that don't mind losing next year.

Josh Richardson would be amazing with his contract, but Miami is not giving him up for that reason. Combined with Jrue he would make our perimeter defense elite while also adding another person who can handle and create without destroying spacing. On top of that he is cost controlled ($10.5M/yr) for the next 4 years and is the same age as AD.

I think they are stuck with Whiteside and that may force them into a rebuild, but I do not think Riley is interested in that route at this point of his career. The terible Whiteside and Tyler Johnson contracts (along with those of James Johnson and Waiters) may prevent them from pursuing this, but outside of the Wizards, the Heat make the most sense for a Boogie S&T. I could see Boogie wanting to play in Miami and Riley wants a star with the Big 3 era over. Perhaps he could still talk himself into a Whiteside-Boogie "Do It Big" offense.
An Olynyk + Richardson S&T for Boogie would be a very smart return if we are parting ways with Demarcus and gievs us a lot more flexibility to avoid the tax. Salary/pick would need to be routed to a 3rd team to make it work.

I'd say that Richardson is more than a "slightly better Moore". He's elite defensively and can guard the 1,2, and 3, while still being a respectable shooter.

Would be interesting...
We would lose the upside of having 2 allstar starters, but we gain a lot of flexibility and fully embrace pace and space team ball which is more fun to watch. Richardson can be the 3rd banana who can create on his own when we need him to and plays excellent perimeter defense. But we won't be paying $25M to what is essentially a glorified role player like with Porter.
Olynyk gives us a center who can rebound and guard bigs while also spacing the floor. He is sneaky good and I have wanted him on the Pels for a while. He is a great facilitator and underrated defender who showed he can be a scorer too even if not consistently. An Olynyk/Niko/Davis big rotation is really intriguing to me.
That trade also means we would only have 2 high $ contracts in AD and Jrue. We could move Solo/Anjica and stay under the cap or try to swing for the fences with a bigger fish later.

PG: Rondo/Jackson

C: Thompson/Diallo
I guess that would be competitive.

In the perfect world, we can get richardson. Whiteside goes to Dallas. Cousins goes to Miami. The rest of filler that is needed gets worked out.

He’s not a good three point shooter though he’s gotten better, but Moe Harkless would be be nasty to have on the wing in NOP. He’s a ln underrated defender, cuts well off the ball. He’s basically what SOLO was supposed to be, though I’d say better.

He would be good for the Pels, but what would they want in return? Are the Blazers trying to get off of his long term money? Or, are they wanting a real asset for him?

I just wanted to remind everyone that mo harkless was drafted after Austin rivers

i'd like to add that he was traded in July 2015 for a 2020 2nd round pick that is top 55 protected

I honestly have no clue if he’s in our long term plans. They were shopping him for Melo and I believe at one point around the deadline they were shopping him again per reports.
He might be moved depending on what Aminu’s market is, both in trade and FA.
Blazers’ long term starting lineup given what’s on the roster is Lillard, CJ, Collins, and Nurkic. If they can find a difference maker forward/taller guard, Turner/Aminu/Harkless will be expendable.

Probably can get Rodney Hood for stupid cheap
Posted on 6/2/18 at 8:49 am to imAMAZING
If LeBron stays I think you could do a S&T of Hood for Moore. BUT if you get a player in S&T you’re hard capping yourself and I’m not sure they’d be willing to do that for just Hood.
Posted on 6/2/18 at 9:10 am to imAMAZING
Rodney Hood is not good, and is terrible on defense.
Posted on 6/2/18 at 9:56 am to TigerinATL
The Jazz , who have a pretty good track record with player development, gave up on Hood while still on a rookie deal. The Cavs, desperate for any talent, have banished him to the bench during their title run.
I would stay away from Hood almost entirely and certainly wouldn't trade a legit NBA rotation player like Moore for him. It's a real shame because I was high on him for some time.
