You’re describing Reed Sheppard here. With his shooting and athleticism combined with his ball handling he is the perfect fit next to Zion in this draft.

I have heard from a pretty damn good source that we love Sarr and we are trying to move up to the top 5 to get him.

He would be a perfect fit next to Z. I think the price would be 3 1st's and a player. Depends on where he lands. If he falls to 3, I think it would be doable.

We didn't last year and no way in hell we do that this year.

Ahhhh so the other report is the Cavs trying to drive up the Garland price.

Ok Rich Paul your turn. Paul will put out story how Garland still wants out now.

Can they really not play together (Mitchell/Garland)? They have had good success the past two seasons, barring injury. Garland is not a star player and is maxed out. Moving to another team is not going to vault him up a level. Playing off a Superstar scorer will only elevate him, especially once they figure out the rest of the roster.
It just reminds me of the dumb Brown/Tatum debate where most believed that one had to be moved, because they optimally play the same position. Now they are about to win the title. Mitchell really isn't even a true PG. He thrived next to Conley. If Garland can't make this work, I wouldn't want him..

It sounds like Cleveland’s real problem is the same one the Pels had with Davis, Mobley doesn’t accept that he should play a lot of center. We know how that story plays out.

I thought it just sounded more like Garland being a diva and wanting more acclaim. The situation isn't hurting Mitchell. He was a top 5ish MVP guy. If he doesn't get hurt, they had a chance to put together a good run. I don't get breaking it up, unless Mitchell forces his way out. Then the team has no choice. Maybe Garland is their beat asset to make a big move, so that's why he's always out there in rumors. But it always seems like Garland's camp is floating the rumors and pushing for him to be moved. Is that the case?

"See we have to trade Herb and Trey with BI for a player!"
- People in here
Whitmore/ Landale/ Eason/ 1 of (#3/ Green/ Smith/ several future picks) is a solid return and helps our team. It gives us young depth in 3-4 positions and assets for future trade.

To be honest, the market for a player going into their 3rd contract will shrink. Tht question is, "will this guy be the difference in me contending or consistent playoffs".
If a team convinces themselves he is, the market is there.
If a team convinces themselves he is not, the market continues to shrink.
Weary teams from Beal, Wall, Harden, Westbrook, CP3, etc with 40mil+ cap hits
