I’m in favor of it. I’ve been riding the Dieng train for a minute. It would at least be interesting.
Addendum…a lot of people compare Dieng to BI. Imagine if he hits that ceiling and you can put two BIs out there

This sounds like misdirection.
I wouldn’t think we would be leaking out how much a guy impressed us right before the draft unless we want to convince someone else to take him and leave our guy on the board.

I still think they’ll pick Daniels if he’s on the board when we pick, but after him they very well could have Dieng after him.

He might be the best in the league at this and if he wants someone THAT badly, I would think twice about handing him over to them. If he wants someone that much, he'd have to do a lot better than just taking on salary.

I think it’s hilarious that some people absolutely love Daniels but absolutely hate the idea of Dieng. They’re similar in a lot of ways but Dieng having a higher offensive ceiling while Daniels has the higher defensive ceiling.

Is he though? Go take a look at his last 5-6 drafts at players they drafted for themselves. Not much there besides Giddey.

Given the roster I don’t feel the pressure like prior years to nail this pick. I’m ok with taking an aggressive swing on high upside.
