My apology. Didn’t even knew he made that much. Just seems like he hasn’t been getting playing time at all lately. So I can see Minnesota trading him.

I agree with you on the additions of those players especially at a decent price. Hopefully we can grab one and someone takes DG/Hayes/Kira off our hands. Having Lance and drafting 3 rookies this year has made Hayes and Kira expendable. We just need to display Kira and hopefully he shows potential to be a trade chip.

Actually the Pelicans need some individuals to stop playing hero ball. Dribbling the air out the ball just to get your midrange shot is killing the team.

Willie Green should tell his veterans, so called one of the big three to look for open man.

Your best 3 point shooter shot 11 times in 40 minutes and shot 3 of 4 from three. Why can't you run more plays or even look for that shooter. A veteran would know that and advise to pass.

i didn't either until last year when some ding dong kept saying how Lonzo Ball has made x amount of 3's before the age of whatever, while having hair on his head no longer than 2 cm long, and whatever other silly special criteria he asked to try to prove Lonzo was the best 3 point shooter in the NBA.
I did some digging and noticed how well Bryn Forbes has performed as a 3 point shooter, mostly under the radar.

we do need DG to be a knock down shooter, or he needs to be replaced with one, but more importantly i think we need to trade Jaxson (b/c i don't think we'll keep him in RFA, and b/c Nance is better and already locked up) and bring in a 4/5 that can be a knock down shooter for us. I'm not looking for the elusive rim protector JJ Redick, i just want a backup big that is going to knock down wide open 3's at a 40% clip and let Zion go to work in the paint without it getting congested.

I think we all need to step back and realize we just had 1 meh game.

Through 3 games we are the 4th best offense in the NBA but our posts, myself included, you'd think we were struggling mightily after reading through these threads.

You talking about CJ? He had 12 assists last night.

You're contradicting yourself here, but still, who is this vet?

Kelly Olynk would be the perfect fit in that role. But seeing Ainge at the helm, he prob would want a million picks

Not only that, but everyone ridiculing Zion hard on his defense and his lack of a “bag”

And still had 25 points

I think we're like top 12 in drtg right now. We are by no means bad. There's room for improvement and there's a lot of time to get it right. I'm not concerned. Zion and BI has the best drtg on the team right now.

I'm talking about the guy who wants to be the guy for the pelicans, everyone knows that BI is that guy, period. Yes CJ, if you watch closely instead of the easy play he attempts the hard shot.

A couple of times, your best shooter was open and here comes Hero Ball. It's not hard to get 12 assists with the loaded team they have. Each guy on the starting five and even the second team can score if given the ball.

The Pels don't need one guy trying to take over, they play better as a team and are capable of hitting shots.

Ingram averaged 6 assists and 28ppg in the 1st 2 games. I'm failing to see your point here.

You got to feel it to the hot hand. CJ was the only who was making it in the fourth and overtime. He did had one bad shot, but he also hit that clutch shot

This is, so far, statistically not true.

Agreed, I said the same thing. But you know sometimes what makes the most sense to some it's not always the best for others.

Meaning, sometimes politics play a role in the pecking order, and some players aren't in the lime light anymore, if you watch the game closely you will see my point.

Alot of these guys are trying to survive. I think the only real two guys who will always perform and remain at the top are BI, and Zion. Everyone else is vulnerable with their shine being taken. Just my opinion.

Herb missing those wide open 3pts was more noticeable since it was an overtime game, but he is certainly a big swing guy for the Pels. If he can knock down enough to keep teams honest then the Pels are tough, but if he is a total no shooter then it makes it a lot harder. I’m hoping Kira gets his shot together because he was a plus shooter in college on good volume, but really it’s the SF/PF position that the Pels lack ideal shooting between Herb and Zion. The thing is they each give a ton in other areas, so it kind of is what it is.

Of course the foul situation just screwed up the Jazz game…anytime Zion takes 10+ shots from the paint without a foul shot then there is a problem with the refs. Not only does it hurt Zion’s offense, but it keeps the opposing bigs on the floor and the Pels out of the bonus.

Last night they called fouls on the Jazz and they lost to Houston with the rookie playing less than 10 minutes…against the Pels they looked like the 1990s Pistons and got to play all game long.

Lakers get DG/Langford

Spurs get Westbrook/Jax and Lakers 27 1st, Pelicans 23 1st

Pelicans get Richardson/Collins, Lakers 23 1st and 2nd, Spurs 24 2nd

basically what i'm saying is no more pick swap, we simply get to keep the pick no matter what, and that allows us to trade our 23 1st to the Spurs. and i'm not even sure if that is possible to do it that way.

Spurs have that much cap space that the can absorb a good bit of contract, and they can just buy out Westbrook and he can be a FA.

i think this is the kind of trade the Lakers should be looking to make, something where they can trade our 23 1st to someone else, and the only way they can do that is if they waive the pick swap and just give us the their first, which would then allow us to trade our 23 1st for them basically.

Again, Ingram averaged 6 assists and 28 points in the 1st 2 games, I have no clue what point you think you're making here, but if it involves Ingram averaging 9-10 assists per game...good luck with that.

It's not exactly breaking news that the best players take the most shots. If you want to take 20 shots per game, be better than Ingram or Zion.
