Defense sucked, tackling sucked, they couldn’t get pressure on QB, they couldn’t cover anyone, they were like 10-15 on third down and got two more on 4th. Receivers couldn’t catch shite, drew couldn’t throw over 10 yards, play calling was garbage. Other than that we were good

312 yds on dinks. Not one attempt over 20 yds because he can’t throw it that far with accuracy anymore. Heck it threw it 15yds right into the LBer’s chest

Raiders had 36+ minutes of possession because noodle arm couldn't throw past the LOS.

3rd down defense was just god awful. But that isn't anything new under D. Allen

they were getting pressure though. 3 sacks and a shite ton of tackles for losses.

The Saints O wasn't that bad on third down either though.

but the bottom line is that if you can't outscore or stop derek carr and a bunch of young WR's you sure as shite aren't gonna be a contender in the nfc.

last week the Bucs made a ton of mistakes and that's why we won.

was happy for the win but sure wasn't all that satisfying.

this loss is a steel toe kick to the balls.

smh.

Montgomery dropped one but I also saw Brees sail one on Cook (Cook bailed him out by getting an OPI) and he missed a wide open Hill and it wasn't close.

Montgomery, trequan, and sanders all had a dropped pass. Ill grant you the one to cook wasnt a good throw.
Glad you brought up the one to hill, on first watch it looks like a bad throw. But go back and watch, and youll see hill stop his route and sit for a second, whereas brees thought he was going to continue to the sideline. That miscommunication along with sanders’ miscommunications with brees give me hope that this can be turned around

Anyone blaming brees for the loss is blind

The defense was a much bigger problem. This was one of those patented, we can't stop the other team at all Dennis Allen games.

But, you are blind if you don't see the problems Brees is having right now. We can argue about what's causing it. But, you can't argue that he's struggling.

Brees didn’t play like we are all accustomed to, but we lost that game because of defense and penalties.

Brees is definitly showing his age, and he has not played well. the defense has played decent at times, and horrible at others.

my concern is the fact of this stat:

Penalties Penalty Breakdown
Team Num Yds
New Orleans Saints 16 248

that is 50 yards more than the closest team. giving up the equivalent of an entire football field in a game is not going to help either side of the ball.

right now this team is very undisciplined - and not really sure what can truly be done with it.

also wanted to add - why do we have Murray at RB? he is hardly used, and appears to be wasted money at this point (yes I know it really isn't, but from an optics POV it looks that way)

This. It was classic stat padding making the numbers look significantly better on paper.
