You can get a much younger guy with MUCH more juice and a 30 year old kamara. That’s just losing business.

This offense is worse without Kamara this year. Miller is a bust. Williams is below average. Taysom can't do it all.

Appease the man with an extension.

Amazing how Kamara and Thomas haven't done anything once they became highest paid players at their position

Find a way to get rid of him because RB's are a dime a dozen these days

Everyone says this but who are you replacing him with: Jamal Williams or Kendre Miller? Talent wise they’re not even close to Kamara. If this team invested in an elite back or developed anyone successfully- I would agree. But they have failed to do that.

Glad you can tell the future. Should we cut Demario Davis as well?

I guess they’re hoping Jamal has a bounce back year and Miller ascends. Problem is this team just has way too many needs.

The offensive line is the main problem. Bad offensive play calling is an issue. Inconsistent QB play doesn’t help. This team takes a major step back without Kamara. I don’t want to give him a 5 year extension. But this offense is toast without him.

So sign somebody or multiple guys off a practice squad that the new staff likes. I just don’t see the difference in kamara vs no kamara being truly meaningful in terms of season changing even if he’s that much better. He’s not overly explosive (nor is the offense) and he will likely get more and more dinged up with age.

Nor does he have a desire to fight for that extra yard on 3rd down. Multiple times last year he just casually ran out of bounds instead of fighting for the 1st down.

Fact: all players prefer restructure. They don't lose money, it moves it up and gives them a lump sum

Issue is Kamara wants an extension to secure the bag. Look at even elite guys like Derrick Henry. Gotta milk it if you're a rb

I'm not backing up the Brinks truck for AK beyond the next two years. Get a elite oline first. Then even average runners will look good.

So if we’re admitting these are ALL issues then this season is likely to be pretty subpar. Who cares if we’re 7-10 or 5 and 12 or whatever. Seems silly to pay a guy almost 30 anything extra when we know his production is going to be going down based off of very clear historical trends.

You really posted only his rushing stats to make your argument look valid.

His scrimmage yards for those seasons

2021- 1337 in 13 games
2022- 1387 in 15 games
2023- 1160 in 13 games

Not too shabby.

DA’s been running him straight into the guard’s arse for two years now… maybe he’s getting tired of that.

Yeah I think everyone agrees with this but the Saints organization. There seems to be imperative to win now- its not something I agree with but its how they’ve operated. If thats the case, then they need to find a way to resolve the issue with Kamara and come to an agreement/extension without totally hampering the organization long term.

Again getting rid of Kamara does nothing to help THIS season.

8th most yards from scrimmage amongst RBs since ‘21

Was also our WR3 those three years. Speaks to how bad this offense got post Brees

The real concern to me is trying out three O-linemen out at different positions. I'm all for hoping for the best but what are the odds that this O-line is just hits the ground running and rarely has a bump in the road?

That's all that really matters.

you can't get 1 yard running on first down and then 2 yards on 2nd down and then hope that Carr doesn't puss out and check it down or have him get nailed for a sack.
