I thought the Julio Jones draft trade of 2 ones, 1 two, and 2 fourths would totally cripple Atlanta. Yet, they have been solidly competitive, especially offensively, the majority of his career, including a 2016 SB appearance/choke.

This Texans deal would be for a young veteran franchise QB for a Saints franchise who is currently facing a future of certain mediocrity or worse.

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Hell yeah you do it. Watson is a young Superstar in the NFL. Yeah you dont draft high for a couple years buts its not like the Saints are drafting top 20 anyway. You do that for a guy that can be your face for the next 15 years.

I'll give them 3 #1s and get a #2 back if Watson agrees to a 10 contract.
Keeps him out of the afc and gives them 3 chances to get it right.

Jimmy G almost won a title just last year

Brady (acquired in free agency this year) is in the Super Bowl

Winston will likely get more money from another desperate team
It's going to drive the price up on Winston
Does Winston prefer a Payton proven offense though

And the Saints shite the bed with the bullshite that Taysom Hill would be our next franchise QB

he's not. but i truly believe we could survive a mediocre year with him if we had to (due to cap reasons)

It's a pretty big stretch to call Winston anything more than a "shot in the dark" type of plan for becoming the Franchise QB.

It`s not like we have not played without a defense before. Plus Watson knows what its like to not have a defense.

2021 1st
2021 2nd
2022 1st
Marshon Lattimore
Cam Jordan

I'm not giving them sh!t for players unless they want Cook or Peat.

Three 1st get back a second and give him a eleven year contract.

They said 2 young defensive dudes.

Cam is getting old. Lattimore isn't even under contract I don't think.

It wasn't all Stafford. It also had to do with the terrible contract that Detroit was absorbing in Goff.

I'd rather give them three 1sts and one young starter. Not having first or second round picks would be devestating.

Usually during negotiating the first offer is for the moon and you expect to down from there. My guess is 2 #1s and a #2.
