if im drew I fake an injury and miss as many games as I can to save his health and then get the hell out of this circus act, if not he will get a "real" injury that might be career ending

He ain't that guy, but you are not incorrect in strategy.

There is no chance the Saints are a contender in the span of time he has left in his career
Really?
2005 we went 3-13. 2006 played in NFL Title Game.
2008 we missed playoffs. 2009 won Superbowl.
2012 we missed playoffs. 2013 won a road playoff game, and being in the playoffs is, well, contending.
Is this a bad stretch? Sure. You can't say we won't contend again in the next 2-3 years. It has taken 2-3 years to start to right the ship personnel wise from some really, really bad decisions in both the draft and free agency.

What would his options be: Denver, Houston, and Jacksonville?
He would immediately make Denver or Houston a Super Bowl-caliber team. He would make Jacksonville a playoff team.

Awful early to write season off...that Viking D is legit and will as lot of folks trouble this year.

This team is a tire fire. They need new everything. You think Breeze is willing to risk his one or two good seasons hoping that they get it right?

If I'm him, I strongly consider it. The minute they kept Dennis Allen again, I'd be packing my bags.
It can't be Allen. Remember they had Allen, Spagnola, Ryan, and somebody I'm forgetting Those coaches do not all suck. Ryan is the only one you can cringe at. The shitty variable on those shitty defenses is the shitty personnel.
Love Brees to death, but I believe that shoulder has to finally be failing. It is a marvel of orthopedic medicine that his shoulder has accomplished what it has, but it is not bionic. Don't see him taking as many deep shots. Some of that is scheme, but I'm not sure all. 5-7 years ago seemed like every 5 or 6 balls thrown, one was a go route or post or deep cross. Just for the frick of it.
Sad to see. He will always be Breesus.

If things keep going the way they are going, then yes. He wants to win again. If all the changes they made in this off-season couldn't get us over the hump, then there's no reason to think one more will. Sadly that probably means we will be irrelevant for the better part of the next decade.

Hopefully. Saints need to start fresh

I wouldn't be mad, kirk cousins is coming to New Orleans next year.

Obviously who knows where his priorities lie, but at this point staring at our 4th straight historically bad defense(it's early yet to give up on the D...but also no real reason to have much confidence in them) I couldn't blame him one bit if he wanted to leave.
He's been fantastic these past 3 seasons and if he continues that elite play this season but another all time bad defense hold him back, good on him if he leaves us.

Denver and Arizona would be good spots

I've always thought Payton and Loomis needed to stay.
After that debacle last night, this whole thing needs to be blown up. It's time to start over.
Hire Ireland as GM. Hire Matt Patricia and let's continue to use our picks on OL and on Defense.

Drew should of left for the Texans 2 years ago.

So Drew packs up his wife and eighteen kids after over a decade here and moves to Denver for a couple of years then what?
Stay in Denver? Move to Diego? Go back to NOLA for a less than warm embrace?
I still believe he stays until his last snap.

I wouldn't blame him.
Might hop on that bandwagon with him for a while

Why would they hire Payton? I think he caught lightning in a bottle and hasn't the skills to duplicate it.

He lives in San Diego doesn't he?

The Brees family will be living in San Diego once his career in New Orleans is over. I would be shocked if he stayed in New Orleans and became the new Mannings.

Oh yeah Drew would just love copying a Manning. Life long dream I'm sure.
