I would only draft Milroe in the 6th or 7th under the conditions that he agrees to play a utility role like Taysom.

However, Hurts improved his passing skills tremendously at Oklahoma in his final year of college and then improved some more in the NFL.

I can promise you that if Milroe played for Lincoln Riley and that Oklahoma team in an extremely weak big 12 conference, his passing numbers would’ve been much better.

Not sayings he’s as good or will be as good as Hurts but OU was cake walking through big 12 defenses back then. If you’re a casual cfb fan all you see is numbers. Sometimes there’s more to the story.

Lamar is actually pretty sharp and a good leader, no matter how much you try to convince yourself otherwise.
The problem for the Saints is that the roster may be a bad situation for any rookie qb…

Discussing an analysis implies that he should be considered and that is laughable.

I really don't think Milroe will be a good QB.

That said, if someone can figure out how to make him the guy that played LSU, and keep him consistently there, he'll start and win somewhere.

Milroe passing tape and deeper stats as good as some of these other guys (Dart, for example) but he’s also an NFL elite athlete. He’s for sure worth a third, maybe a second.

Milroe is not a quarterback. He’s an athletic runner who can throw to a wide open receiver on occasion

ETA: I wouldn’t waste a 7th round pick on him

Milroe is this year's version of Jake Locker. Just a faster runner.

Locker was a top 10 pick to the Titans in the 2011 draft.

There's a big difference in being book smart & being able to process information then make the correct decision in approximately 3 seconds while defenders want to tackle you.
