I still think Moore will go for the lineman. He said last year he believes in building from inside out. RB is a luxury for us at this time. How deep is this class for OG and WR positions?

Zero chance we go into next year relying on Olave and Vele to carry WR position.

Then you definitely don’t spend #8 on another WR with injury concerns…

Hope we take Caleb Downs. He's just an all around GREAT football player. Seems to really understand the game, and be a quarterback in the defensive secondary. No injury history. He was Saban's class favorite at Bama (started as a true freshman) and coached by Matt Patricia at Ohio State. Kind of guy that can be a pillar in your franchise for awhile.

I agree in principle but you really cant take an IOL at pick 8. If the Miami OT is there, id take him and then figure out Fuaga vs. him later.

But if you pick an OL it has to have OT potential, at least.

So does Tyson.

2022 (Colorado): Torn ACL, MCL, and PCL, sidelining him for most of the season.
2024 (Arizona State): A collarbone injury forced him to miss the College Football Playoff.
2025 (Arizona State): A hamstring injury cost him at least a month during the season.

I’m not that impressed with Tyson. He’s not a Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson who is a can’t miss top 10 guy IMO. He lacks that explosiveness you want in one of those guys. I’d be afraid he ends up like a Keon Coleman if he can’t separate. Look at the highlights, you never see him pulling away from guys like you saw Chase doing while at LSU.

Several best in class positions may be available to us at the eighth pick why its extremely likely we will get offers to trade.
#1
RB
S
CB
TE
DT
OG

Polk + 2nd/ 3rd Rd WR is solid. That would be a true #3 and #4. Last year we had Olave and only really (1) of Vele/ Shaheed throughout the season. Going from 2 WR's worth a shite to 4 WR's and adding a TE2 is absolutely plenty. We go from 3 true targets to 6 by doing that.

Anything more than that is overkill and probably means we are negating other roster holes.

I’ve listened to a lot of scouting vids back when it looked like we were destined for the 1 or 2 pick. A LOT of scouts view Jordyn Tyson and what he does well as a very similar player to Olave. As much as I like Tyson, I think they need someone more like Lemon (who I don’t think is worthy of the 8th overall pick) or someone like Elijah Sarratt from Indiana. Someone who can win contested catches and be a little more physical.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they traded a future pick for an extra 2nd or an extra early 3rd and took Chris Bell. We are going to have a lot of picks and we know Loomis’ draft tendencies

If we passed on Bain I'd have a stroke. I know his size and arm length are not typical, but he's waaay too consistently great to pass on. He's been a monster in the playoffs.

What? This isn’t even close to being true. This team needs great players, playmakers. After Kendre’s latest injury, his time is done here. Kamara has zero juice left so you’re banking on Devin Neal and Audric Estime?

I’m not saying they should take Love at 8 (which I’d be ok with) but not adding someone to that room would be a huge mistake

Sign OG Davis Edwards in free agency and draft Tyson. If you think trotting out Vele, injury proned Olave, and Johnson is a playoff offensive lineup you’re crazy. I love what this group did at the end of the season but let’s not forget who they were playing against. Shough needs more weapons. I’m happy with Kamara, Neal, and Miller rotating at RB but we need elite pass catchers for our new franchise qb.

Do we need play makers, of course. But if you have an O line that struggles that RB is going to go no where. Plus we need to protect Shough. I'm hoping we can take care of the O line in FA, but there was a thread a few days ago that showed there really aren't that many to be had during FA.

Olave is either about to get a 3-4 year contract or get traded. Having 1 year left is completely irrelevant to anything.

Is Bain consistent? He’s been great the last two games. But from the few games I watched during the season, he didn’t do much. Half his sacks and TFL this season have come in the playoffs. And a quarter of his tackles are from the playoffs.

Good bc I don’t want Tyson. Just commenting on the state of the position. It’s anything but solidified

I honestly think we can afford to skip edge this draft with the way Cam and Chase are playing.

I would prefer to slide Fuaga over because he just isn't getting the grades that an elite OT should have. We would need to spend a first on the edge next season if we go that route though.

You do realize Cam might not be back AND he’s 37 years old? We need an edge way more than we need to slide our former first round Tackle to Guard and pray the transition works AND pray Fano isn’t a bust.

You’re building around a young QB and you don’t care to look past one season Olave is here for one more year until he’s not. Even if he’s extended or traded you still need WRs. What a weird comment
