Cam will be back, it is only a matter of whether the salary number is appropriate which they can and should pay. We can afford to give him $7-10mm per year since Shough's rookie deal pays him basically nothing.

Its really not that deep. If we keep Olave I highly doubt we draft a WR #8 and will do so in the 2nd or 3rd. And that means Olave is getting an extension.
If we trade Olave then we are getting atleast a 1st or 2nd and probably take a WR #8 or early 2nd/ late 1st with the Olave pick.
You are acting like we plan to keep Olave to start the season without knowing the outcome. Olave is the ONLY player that we can trade for his full contract value before the draft.
Your if doesn't apply here. We will know before the draft and season starts.
We aren't paying Olave and drafting a WR #8.
We didn't have Polk last year so we already have an extra WR that is currently our #3. You add one more in the draft and that's 2x the weapons we had last year.
No its not a weird comment and yes anything more than that is overkill. You actually think we are going to add a big name FA WR after we just traded for both Vele/ Polk and pay Olave? Not going to happen.

They just fired their head coach and signs also point to Kyler Murray not returning to that team.
Brissett just stayed in there there for the rest of the year. After Murray got hurt it wasn't like he had a season-ending injury. Is that correct??

Someone trading for Olave would likely be given permission to workout an extension in the process as part of the picture of the trade.

We have Olave/ Polk/ Vele. You add a WR in the 2nd or 3rd and you have your top 4.
The 2 guys we traded for to play this upcoming season are the reason we have to address the position... That WAS us addressing the position. We literally added a #2 and #3 WR. Do we want a #4 who has a chance to be a #1 or #2 sure! But that's it.
You hope to draft a guy that can become atleast a #2-#3 and pushes Polk to #4. You also hope Polk can be a top 3 WR. We didn't trade for him or Vele to not play them.

Players get traded on the last year of their deal all the time without an extension. Im not going to assume you know what you’re talking about
