But he's solely behind Shough as Saints QB

Im not sure if he will ever really be starter material but I do think he'll be one of those backups that just sticks around a long time.

I would like to see him with more of an established team. Thinking the rams as a potential reclamation project by McVay. Maybe Minnesota would be a decent spot that can kinda push as competition for JJ.

Hope he does well wherever he goes he just wasnt developing quick enough.

There’s nothing that Rattler did to demand that he should get a shot anywhere else to be a starter.

There's nothing that Rattler did to demand that he wouldn't be an upgrade for the NYJ or Cleveland. Rattler may not be a starting QB but that doesnt mean he isn't good enough to get a chance against other QB's that technically shouldn't be starting either.

I agree. Someone should trade a mid to late round pick for him.

He is right. Rattler faced much harder opponents than Shough.

I’m not totally convinced on Shough beating the worst teams in the NFL. Rattler played decent. The team wasn’t as good early in the year and they played better teams then than Shough had to face.

We weren’t winning those early games either with Shough starting instead of Rattler.

I knew this fricker was going to run to this thread with his Rattler hate. Nobody on this site and twitter hates more on Rattler than him.

I hope the rest of the team say the same thing about Rattler and the rest of the league listens. Hopefully some team gets desperate for a quarterback and gives the Saints a second or third round pick for him.

Contrary to what this board has said about Olave he seems like a damn good teammate and well respected. I’ll never forget as a rookie or 2nd year player when Carr blew up at him on the sideline. Carr took no responsibility in his presser where Olave took all the responsibility. That play MT got on X and stated Olave wasn’t even an option just a decoy. His job was to run a go and bring the defender with him and block once Hill caught the pass.

Teams like the jets, raiders, Vikings could do worse than trading a mid round pick for rattler

There's always a team that needs a QB. Bet the Colts wish there was no trade deadline.

He beat a division winner. Twice. And played well in most of his starts. Led some big comeback wins. Huge plays on critical downs against multiple teams. It wasnt a fluke

All true. Spencer just fell apart at the wrong time, and the change was needed.

He played great against the AFC 1 seed, good against the 9ers, he can be a starter if he keeps growing and eliminating some of the mistakes. He also just flat out outplayed Shough in camp.

Not even provable.

Nothing wrong with Olave being a good teammate and talking up Rattler.

Poor bastard, are you ok? Do you need a hug?

I know it must be incredibly difficult for you to cope with the fact that your crush is not a starter. Keep the faith, and seek help.

Oh, and just for shits and giggles: Spencer is not a starter and he was limiting the offense. Have a great day

Well to be fair, Rattler already had some starting experience from the previous season. A full season acclimating to the NFL

He had a full starting line, Kamara behind him, and two starting WRs to throw too.

Yet only one win? And that was the Giants having turnover after turnover.

That wasn't Rattler, that was our defense. That should have been an easy win for Rattler.

That was Rattler not f@cking up !!
