Thought it would be fun to try a mock where I selected Love my least preferred option especially after picking up Etienne.
Swapped 8 and 10 with Cincy for a 3rd and 7th
10 Jeremiah Love RB
42 Kevin Concepcion WR
72 D'Angelo Ponds CB
73 Chris Bell WR
132 Sam Roush TE
136 Tacario Davis CB
150 Kaleb Proctor DL
172 Jude Bowery OT
190 Ar'maj Reed-Adams IOL
221 Makail Kamara DE/Pass Rusher
Offensive firepower and depth, 2 CBs hoping for one starter and a nickel. One high ceiling, one high floor. Line depth.
Would have to trade Kamara in this scenario and be happy with some future year draft compensation.

PFF came out with a mock today:
This is the highest I've seen Love and Bain go. If this is true, we won't have to worry about Bain's armlength; he'll be long gone.
It also has us taking Tate and Lemon already gone. Lemon off the board at 8 is not where most mocks are right now, so this is interesting.
I personally hope one of those Ohio State linebackers falls to us, but they are both gone in this mock too.

seen a lot of love for freeling and browns, they should swap picks with us if they want to drop a dude from the teens.

I don’t think Love gets out of the top 5. But that’s the earliest I’ve seen him in any mock too.
They have the Jets and Titans in the wrong order unless they are projecting a trade.
I wouldn’t hate Tate, and most mocks seem to have us taking him since we didn’t sign a WR in free agency. That being said, passing no Bailey for Tate seems a bit crazy. Personally, I’d probably take Downs over him too. But I’d be fine with either.
It’s seeming more and more likely that Styles isn’t going to make it to us.
Cardinals are a wildcard. They could really go in a lot of different directions.

Tate, Downs or Bain I think will be our top choices.
Bailey and Reese are obviously taken if they fall.

Mel Kiper 3.17.26
1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana.
2. New York Jets: David Bailey, OLB, Texas Tech.
3. Arizona Cardinals: Arvell Reese, OLB, Ohio State.
4. Tennessee Titans: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame.
5. New York Giants: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State.
7. Washington Commanders: Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State.
8. New Orleans Saints: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State.
9. Kansas City Chiefs: Rueben Bain Jr., DE, Miami
10. Cincinnati Bengals: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU.
I could really see the draft playing out in this way.

The Saints' main signings have come on offense -- guard David Edwards and running back Travis Etienne Jr. -- and that's also where I'd expect them to look during the draft. They need to surround second-year quarterback Tyler Shough with as much talent as possible, and the No. 2 wide receiver on the roster is Devaughn Vele (25 receptions last season). Tate brings a well-rounded scouting report, with solid route running and the ability to come down with tough catches thanks to his hands and body control. He'd be great opposite Chris Olave -- yet another excellent receiver to come out of Ohio State in recent years.

I can too, although Loomis is Loomis. I can easily see him trade to get Reese or Styles if one falls far enough.

Tate makes sense if Saints balk at paying WR1money. Like Olave was Tate is considered the no 1 route runner in the draft.

I would love for my Saints to draft WR Jordyn Tyson with the 8th pick so him and Shough could pick up where they lifted off.

I just don’t know how seriously I can take the Tate, really any offensive player, at 8 mock drafts.
Both Underhill and Trip have a good track record of having legit sources (they’re just very good at keeping a lot of that info tight to the vest and slip in nuggets every now and then) as well as Daniel Jeremiah and all signs lead to them wanting to go defense at 8. Jeremiah’s recent mock has the Saints taking David Bailey. Brendan Donahue is another that has a decent track record of getting picks correct (he had the Saints taking Banks last year) and his most recent mock had the Saints taking Bailey too.
I’d be shocked if Bain, Bailey, Styles or Downs ARENT there. And I think one of them ends up a Saint. MAYBE Delane but I just don’t see all 4 of those guys going. If they do, that means Love fell to 8.

If Delane runs a 4.4 Monday, it will get more interesting.

i took a trade down to 20 picked up extra picks traded up in 3rd for hunter. Ended up with:
1st
A Terrell CB
2nd
D Boston WR
M Lawrence OLB
3rd
Hunter NT
not elite, but fills holes and a lot of upside.

Would love if Bailey falls. Also Pregnon second seems like a good deal to me if he’s there.

If Bailey is there I can't see us taking Tate.
