I agree, this is better than what I expected. I am torn on Olave. I have never seen him as a WR1, and I still don’t think he is……but he has played better the last few games, so part of me was hoping Loomis would trade him for decent value.
What worries me is that now that Loomis didn’t move him…….we will end up extending him as a 1….which would be an overpay IMO.

I will blame you for every bad draft pick until you take your talents to Airline highway to direct our scouting and drafting department.
I’m the hero this team needs right now, but not the one it deserves…

Would be another stupid move.
You know Loomis will have that itch

Maybe we can trade that ‘27 6th for a ‘28 5th, and then that pick for a ‘29 4th and so on. Then in ten years we will have our first back…

sure but even at a 15 million 1 yr deal, that's pretty below a FA Market demand for a replacement caliber player. Despite our worries about his health etc.

I'm not worried. I just think it was a sign of teams not offering much. He will play next year and I think you will see him again right here on trade day

Jesus some of you just fricking revel in being miserable fricks.
failed pick? yes - but we got something instead of letting him walk for nothing.

Trading away a failed first rounder for pennies on the dollar is yet another indictment of the horrible drafting we’ve done
You’re missing the point. CKM was not involved in that pick so he is getting what he can for Loomis’ and Allen’s frick ups. It’s not rocket science.
There is a new sheriff in town. Be thankful that Loomis is allowing CKM to embarrass him by trading his failed picks.
Silver linings.
ETA. Tell me I’m wrong? I bet you can’t.
And don’t bring up Loomis. Bc I think he sucks arse.

Again you people miss the point “well I mean we’re finally rebuilding ! What do you guys want ??”
1. We’re only here because the bottom finally fell out and there was no more kicking of the cab because we have no assets worth a shite.
2. The man who burned the house down somehow is still charge of rebuilding it.
Today would be a win if we had a new GM in place that was cleaning up Mickey’s shite. Instead it’s more ammo for him to trade up and get another bust. Hoooooray!!!
Say it’s people being “miserable” but you morons have been saying it for years after every Mickey move people have told you is stupid but you chose to be “positive”

They need 1 more trade.
They need a top 100 pick.

I get that feeling as well. I don’t think they will spend BIG per say next offseason…..but I think they will still spend enough to set themselves up in the best possible position for the draft (to be able to go somewhat BPA)

As said above. It appears that Micky is letting CKM and staff clean up the mess left by(here is where we depart) Loomis, CSP and Allen with a owner not engaged. You excuse all of these contributors but Loomis. Screaming its all Loomis's fault and we are doomed and yall are falling for it is fine. Do you and be miserable with no hope.

And I'll ask again, should they not have traded Penning until they get equal compensation and eventually let him walk for nothing. Or do you get some compensation for him and hope that the front office hits on this one.
What is there to lose? Save cap space and another dart to throw at the board, even if it's while blindfolded.
I agree that the team needs to move on from Loomis, and it would be a much better situation if someone else was in the front office calling the shots. But this is the hand we are dealt now; so, you can either be a fan of the team and have discussions about move made or not made. Or you can sit back and whine and bitch about everything that happens

Does that count the 4th they gave away for vele.
You gave shaheed away for a 5th after the vele trade.
Shaheed is young and still ascending. He shouldn't cost that much and wanted to be here.

Shaheed was good in the past. This year he can't catch a cold. I'm surprised they got 2 picks for him.
