Naw.

Bo Nox was deemed a huge reach.

Watch sports and figure it out.

But the fact remains we just gave him something like 30m in more guaranteed money (checked and we gave him 47m more in guarantees this year between the 17m roster and 30m restructure), only to trade him to save 1m? That is legit stupid.

That is the means of getting trade value compensation back, we are eating lot of cap

They are stuck with Watson for at least 2 more seasons, so they may be willing to punt QB decision to next season.

Been some smoke around Cleveland trading for Carr post 6/01 since they would have a 1 year rental at $1.2M. If there is a move with Clev, would not surprise me if a future pick is in play as part of the price to come back (or a flip picks in the same round so the league doesn’t frown on it) for a trade with Carr on 6/02

Also for those that were itching to fire DA midseason, remember they fired him and won 2 games in a row and 3 of 4. What’s important about that is saints were 2 games from the #1 pick (maybe this is why Mickey didn’t want to fire him )

On one hand the Saints probably won't have this high of a draft choice next year... But we have a starting QB on a roster that needs a lot of holes/talent to fill.. Are there any QB's that we are willing to take a chance on that is any better than what we have on the roster right now?

How much value would we need to be worth eating 47m though? That's at least 2 firsts, which we'd be lucky to get one.

If he was going to be gone this year, it would have been before we restructured him. There is zero chance we just ate that 47m for peanuts.

Read the quote, you think Deion is clueless re: what teams are looking QB early. Nawww.

Nothing Deion said supports your title

quote:

Saints going to draft a QB high per Deion Sanders

All he said was
quote:

if it's New Orleans, if it's any of those teams that are seeking a quarterback

Seeking a QB and drafting a QB high is not the same thing.

I’d take a 3rd rounder for Carr. 2 firsts? A single 1st round pick? I’d take a 3rd or a 2nd and runaway fast. If you can get any value for him you take it. He’s a lame duck player that will be cut for nothing.

Sure it is. Especially if we go qb in round 1 or 2 dumbshit. What teams seeking a QB arent considering drafting one? stupid arse logic, wow

Agreed.

Yes. Carr is old/hurt, Rattler looks like a promising backup.

Kellen Moore was/has been talking to all of the QB prospects. He visited Cam Ward, took Ewers to dinner, and then was at the Ohio State pro day chatting up Will Howard (who had a great pro day throw session after a somewhat rocky combine).

Follow the fricking news fellas. Its literally being talked about at this point by several media outlets.

Karens whining everywhere.

I don’t think that’s the question though. We’re not doing anything of real note next season with this roster and an aging QB who has never carried a roster in his career.

I think it’s more do you think these guys are a good long term fit for your team and potential franchise guy?

If they are Carr’s presence is immaterial.

You think drafting a QB in round 2 is drafting a QB HIGH?

quote:

What teams seeking a QB arent considering drafting one?

Let's just pretend you didn't say drafting a QB high and pretend you just said drafting a QB. A team may decide to try to trade for a veteran QB. The Saints shouldn't do that but that is always a possibility. ANd let's get back to the drafting high statement that you made. The Saints may draft a QB at 9, odds are it won't be Sanders or Ward. But they need to do their due diligence about the guy who may be available to them through some unexpected circumstance. Moore may also be high on a QB who could fall to 40.

quote:

stupid arse logic, wow

Talking to yourself? It's OK to be wrong now and then. You read too much into a single offhand statement and now you are trying deflection and ad hominem attacks to distract from your flawed inference. You're better off just admitting you are wrong in your assumption. You may still be right about what the Saints do but you are reading too much into that statement.

I’d be happy for a 2nd and change if all parties are wanting to go separate ways and we acquired a qb in draft somehow. Eat some shite this year and move on quicker. 2027 cap becomes lights out in that scenario
