Kliff would be a terrible hire and should not even be considered. He’s failed forward somehow getting the head job at Arizona after TT cut him loose . He then failed in Arizona as expected .

Yea he’s still at the bottom is my lest as well. IMO he’s one of those that’s a good coordinator but the HC traits just aren’t there.

McCarthy is still my top guy (and was for me 2nd only to Glenn) and if he doesn’t want to take on the rebuild then just go with Rizzi and call it a day.
I also like Weaver but at this point the optics are terrible so at least Rizzi seems to have the players buy in.

I’ve said all along IMO Rizzi will
Make a good HC some days but the Saints won’t be the right spot for him to succeed. He’s not going to be their #1 choice or 2nd for that matter simply because he’s in house and they need to change things up.

If Rizzi was not on the saints roster he’d be looked at much differently by fans in a positive way. IMO.

I don’t get the Kliff buzz. He’s failed everywhere he’s been as a HC. Some people are just good coordinators

This is probably Rizzi’s only shot at becoming an NFL HC

If that’s who we end up with, then just cut all your bad contracts and sign practice squad guys to the league minimum to field a roster. Let’s just pull off the bandaid for a few season and get out of this cap hell.

Hiring Rizzi proves this franchise is lost.

Agree and he’s the likely favorite as the better candidates keep pulling out.

Doing what you described resets the cap in 1 season.

Well settling for Rizzi proves no one wants anything to do with this franchise. So why act like we’ll be able to navigate out of it?”

Will also cost you over 20,000 season ticket holders once they realize they’re being asked to pay thousands for practice squaders. You put the viability of the franchise in NOLA with a public tank.

How is the team that has had the second longest coaching vacancy the last to hire a coach? I feel like all the due diligence on a bevy of candidates should have been finished long ago and a ranked top five candidates should have already been made before the end of the season. The interview should be a formality.

I know Moore is still coaching and if he’s the hire then I get the wait. If it’s anyone other than someone currently coaching. The front office needs a purge!

I personally hope they all turn down Loomis.

How else do we get real change instead of Hopiom from the FO?

At this point I'd hire Arthur Smith

Do any of those candidates really want to take a career risk with the Saints right now? The Saints GM and ownership is a shite show right now. I guess money talks though.

Moore didn't have to go as far as to say he really enjoyed the time he got to spend with Mickey Loomis and had a ton of respect for the Org. but he did.

Also is this going to be the new narrative to run with? No one wanted the job but the Saints over paid to get someone.
