Cam Jordan is old garbage now. Our d line is a joke. Thanks to Mickey!!!

Almost like we should’ve drafted an edge in one of the first two rounds. Instead we went with Banks and Shuck

I can’t be mad at the Banks pick but man. They better be right considering they passed on Walker and Mykel.

Quantify and qualify are two different words.
Bresee had 7.5 sacks.
Young and Granderson had 5.5 each.
Bresee had the third most sacks for a DT behind Dexter Lawrence and Zach Allen.
Young and Granderson rank 54th in sacks by edge rushers. Even compared to DTs they would be 7th.
They were all pretty much equal on tackles for loss, forced fumbles and passes knocked down. Granderson does have more tackles. Bresee is younger than both Young and Granderson.
That and what I see on Sundays makes me say Bresee is our best defensive lineman.

stutsMAN will be a problem. Dude is a nut case and you gotta keep a few of those around.

He’s the only defensive lineman who gets any pressure on the QB and from the DT position that disrupts the pocket. He’s average at best against the run, but so are our other lineman
With my eye I don't see Bresee being as bad against the run as what PFF or others have stated, but even with that I still worry about him against the run and how he'll match lining up across more Tackles as a 3-4 DE. Tackles are typically better against pass rush so can he maintain his pass rush efficiency or will their longer arms be able to control him more, and Guards are usually better against the run so is it possible he can have more success versus the run going up with tackles?
The one thing that I can't make sense out of in my head is that they have Cam Jordan listed as OLB/Edge and not DE!!!! Even coming out of college he was always projected as DE in either 4-3 or 3-4, never mentioned as 3-4 OLB, not even in his prime was he a better fit for 3-4 OLB. At his age and current level of play it makes ZERO sense, and dare I say 3-4 DE could actually improve his performance and potentially get him another year in the league as it leans on his stronger run defense, and occasional veteran savvy pass rush

This is all on Mickey
How would that be on GM-Mickey, and not DC-Brandon Staley?

Given their recent history, I am ok with them not drafting an edge rusher in the first 2 rounds

As much as everyone wants to pile on his negativity, this also speaks to the lack of activity on this board. Some of these posts are from 3-4 weeks ago. There was a time when even in the offseason you wouldn't see posts more than 2 weeks old unless someone was trying to bump an old thread
