That would be the smart thing to do while several guys have some trade value but Loomis still thinks we are a piece or two away. At this rate the Saints should be contenders again by the 2049-2050 season!

Who exactly do you think we would be able to trade? Would be curious if you listed the many names.

Who are we getting anything for besides Olave that we wouldn’t want to be part of the rebuild?

I’d try to move Demario, Kamara, Olave

We can probably gets some mid round picks. We aren’t going to pay Olave anyway. He doesn’t want to be here. It’s obvious by his play. We can get something for him.

Teams aren't going to trade for elderly players.

Maybe the Saints wait till they get near the trade deadline when a contending team gets desperate.

Otherwise, no team is contacting the Saints with any value picks.

I think only Kamara, Hill, & Olave are the real potentials.

Kamara might get a 3rd. I know he says he wants to be a Saint, but I think it’d be mutually beneficial to move on. Honestly I’d like to see Kendre & Neal get more snaps & grow.
Olave might get a 4th or couple of mid round picks. We should have never picked up his 5th year option at $15.6M next year. Throw Trey Palmer in to get snaps, screw it.
Taysom might get a 6th or 7th. Literally take anything offered

Bresee has trade value but I think his age & growth are too valuable to trade away.
Granderson I think is a sneaky candidate with decent trade return value, but I’d rather keep
Taylor is another potential, would depend on return and what a potential 2nd contract looks like for him. He’s not a boundary corner but is a solid slot CB & blitzer

Jordan similar to Kamara, we KNOW he WANTS to retire here but if that want has shifted for him and he wants to go to a contender then you let him. Take whatever you can get in trade return

Davis I don’t think has much trade value unless a contender has an LB injury.

49ers LB Fred Warner will miss rest of the season with a broken ankle. Demario Davis, or more so Pete Werner could be trade candidates here, especially after started rotating both Danny Stutsman and Isaiah Stallbird in for Werner on snaps against the Patriots yesterday.

So we give up a super high 4th for Vele and get back a worse 4th b/c it’ll be from a contender?

That’s how you build a winner…,

Olave you dont have to trade. He will get paid and will become a comp pick assuming we let him go like we should.

So while I would like that pick a year earlier it isnt an absolute must.
