Why do you think so highly of Kenny Britt?

Potential there for sure, but I'm not too high on the dude.

Why would you pick Watkins if you got Gordon? And we still have Colston, Stills, Moore and Toon, Meachem or Morgan.
I'd take Mathews since Brown and Strief are free agents. Who else would you take? Clowney doesn't really fit our defense. Barr seems overkill since we have Butler and Gallett. Ha-Ha? That seems high for a safety.

Not sure why people are so averse to having two studs at WR. It's not like we have any massive holes to fill right now. You wouldn't even be a little bit nervous if the Falcons, even with a shite OL, drafted Watkins to play along side Jones?

Colston, Moore, and Meachem are on their last legs. Decent chance that Moore gets cut and Meachem isn't brought back. Colston disappeared for very long stretches and could be a 2015 offseason cap casualty. Morgan is a restricted free agent coming off of a major injury. I like Stills, but I'd like him more as a slot guy than a #2 WR. Toon sucks dick.

I believe Gordon is one strike away from a year-long suspension for drugs. Not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind.

It's very weird. I swear some posters on this board (not saying anyone in this thread) get off on the idea of our qb carrying average players.

It's almost as weird as people not wanting the 2nd best receiving threat in the league.

Face the facts we not drafting a wr in the first five rounds and we will not sign a receiver. The ownership thinks we r set when Morgan comes back. We will not win next year either 49ers and patsriots will be in next year superbowl and I'm tired of seeing post on receivers. We will not make any trades to get a receiver. I can see us moving up to take a rt or a safety or corner but that's it. Jimmy graham is going to take our winning season next year from us. Next year we will not make the playoffs and that's final cause we are dead set are signing a tightend to me that's over rated.

The ownership probably doesn't remember who Joe Morgan is.

I'd rather have a stud OT for the next 12-15 years than take a chance on a WR. And Brown and Strief are FA. Not that I'm against taking a WR, but I'd rather take the safe pick then a chance when we already get a great WR in Gordon out of the deal.

Anyway, Thrill, if this fantasy scenario was to come down and watkins was the best player by far on the board then I wouldn't have any problems with him being the pick. I just think that wr would no longer be a priority. If there is a player of about equal value that plays a different position then it would help out the team more to improve in a different area.

Agreed, if BPA is watkins, we take watkins.

No point in reaching for an OL, CB, S, or ILB/OLB that is a 2nd-3rd round prospect.

If anything, I wouldn't be adverse to trading back into the 2nd round and maybe picking up another 1st for the 2015 draft

Most people here believe we need to win now.
