Anyone looking at the models for Valentine’s Day. I realize models are unreliable this far out, but they showed the chance of some more bad weather.

Where are these early models I keep seeing mentioned? The models leading to this past event proved to be pretty accurate. Hope the ones being discussed today for Valentine’s Day are completely wrong.

Thanks for serving the area and all those who helped out. We had crews from Kentucky and Indiana coming to help but there’s still large swathes of Benton and Marshall county with no power whatsoever. You guys rock.

In North Texas...driveway is still iced as are areas of our lawn. Assume it was the amount of sleet which fell first, then topped with snow.
Hopeful it will all disappear by Tuesday or Wednesday
The slow melt is good for the lawn, I must admit

OKC west for 100 miles or so is still mostly white, that stretch is 7-8 degrees cooler.

It's now been 9 days and about 25% of my yard is still covered in sleet.
This is nuts.

Snow is loaded with nitrogen, farmers love it.

We met some friends for dinner this weekend over in Southern Indiana and I couldn’t get over how much ice was in the Ohio River on the drive down I-64. We normally see some but nothing like this because it’s a high trafficked/fast moving area of the river with the McAlpine locks.
Pretty wild to see. As close to a complete freeze over than I’ve seen in my lifetime. 1977 was the last time it froze over to the point you could walk on it.
We might get above freezing today.

Heck, all those iguanas are going to wake up and wonder just where in the heck they are.

38 year old me can only think about the possibilities of teenage pranks me and my friends could've pulled with dozens of stunned iguanas just needing to be warmed up a little.
Either our high school gym would be full of them or our friend-that-everyone-secretly-hates car would be
