How many of these 15 people that have been shot are random innocent people?
This one seemed like a random innocent.

What do you think this is, 2002? It was a major news story for weeks on every network when someone was shooting people on the road then with the DC Snipers. It’s just a below the fold, high points only, every day part of life in 2021.

I know, I know. Journalism died years ago. I guess this is just me wanting something that will never happen.

Actually several of them were random people including some tourists who were coming to or leaving NO.

A few years back when I lived in Shreveport, there were stories of interstate shootings pretty often on the news and I remember thinking, BR is wild but at least they pride themselves on their "on foot marksmanship" but I was wrong I suppose. I think its the younger generation of "gangstas" who don't have any older people to reel them in and/or teach them better (even if its an older "gangsta" person).

the one that happened in BR wasn't some random shooting. It was just culture a little further south than they should have been, doing culture things.

That's a little disturbing if this has been going on to random people in NO. Is this just the cool new thing to do for idiots in the hood, or is there some kind of serial killer out there?

idk how much its been happening but "Baby Joe" (the young one, not the one Boosie mentions in his old old songs/I think its that guys son maybe) got shot in front of Siegen Lane on the interstate a week or two ago. All tied to the NBA/TBG rap bullshite.

I believe this is the shooting that happened on the crescent city connection headed to the west bank. It closed the bridge down for a couple of hours. If only one unit would sit atop the bridge at night they would catch dozens of people flying over at 90 mph plus weaving in and out in the late night hours. It’s the only way to get from Nola east to marrero, two dangerous places. You could literally make tens of thousands of dollars in speeding tickets alone per night. WHERE is law enforcement????

They could write the tickets, but it would most likely turn to no show warrants that the DA won’t enforce bc they are not for violent crimes

I'll bet everything I own, every shooter should already have been locked up and no longer walking freely among us. This is another point to ponder for the "we have too many people incarcerated" crowd, clearly we don't have nearly enough people incarcerated.

Gone because they got rid of the tolls that helped pay for enforcement and maintenance on the bridge

They were not all around Read. Only one was within 2 miles of Read. One was shot on the highrise and got off at Read to go to the hospital. Good bit happened between 610 and the highrise. Couple on the pontchartrain expressway
