My astrology sources say it's definitely a comet.

Apparently it change direction and is heading much closer to Mars than though, and has regular consistent energy burst, has a second tail, has some stange plasma glow on the front of it, is going too fast for what he consider comet speed and just shot beam out of its nose into the sun. Very interesting and strange comet behavior.

That sounds way much like a deceleration burn

We will know for sure in a few weeks it will 100% be some new comet thing and we will adjust our science or 100% a manufactured device and we will have to adjust our lives.

Good dry fact based analysis

Why was its first leader a Nazi war criminal.

The first administrator of nasa was thomas glennan. He was born in north dakota and doing war research at Columbia U during ww2. That's a pretty weird background for someone you call a nazi war criminal. Von Braun was the 1st director at the Marshall flight center, but that's mainly because they basically absorbed Redstone. It is not him being the first leader of nasa in any way, shape, or form. Your extremely tenuous grasp of very publicly available info (that you likely lived through) indicates the cheese slid off your cracker years ago, old man.

Could be there are things in the universe that we don’t know about.

I sometimes ask myself what will be the biggest “they didnt even know about ___” things they will laugh at us about in 50-100 years.

Example: they didnt know about germs 150 years ago.

Sadly, I think how unsanitary hospitals are will definitely be something people will shake their heads about and think of us as fools. But, hospital janitor will probably never be considered a respectable career. Maybe robots will fix that problem.

You can't even form a sentence properly but want folks to believe you?

lol, no beam came out of it's nose.

I swear this whole thing is the most poorly reported and sensationalized bs story. Morons that have poor reading comprehension just add to the stupidity.

We are either completely wrong about our understanding of space and the universe or it’s not a comet.

Holy hyperbole. You’re so full of shite.

No, it doesn’t mean we are “completely wrong about our understanding of space and the universe.” That’s a ridiculous statement. Our understanding of comets is based on comets that live in our solar system. So of course there will be new scientific discoveries when we have a chance to observe an interstellar comet. But even our understanding of solar comets is limited - for example, we’ve never directly observed the Oort Cloud (where long-period comets are thought to live most of the time, at aphelion).

You say shite like:
quote:

I have forgotten more about NASa than you will ever know.

But then you also say:
quote:

He developed a scale which has been widely adopted by NASA and the world to determine if an object is an asteroid or a comet called the Loeb scale

That’s not what the Loeb Scale is.

It’s a scale of how likely an object is to be natural vs. technological (from 0 = 100% natural to 10 = 100% technological). Meaning Loeb himself is saying 3i/Atlas is most likely a natural body.

Since you didn’t know what the Loeb Scale actually was, I’m gonna need to see a source for your claim that it’s used by NASA. Especially considering the “Loeb Scale” didn’t exist prior to this year.

It continues to amaze me how self-proclaimed “skeptics” are the people most likely to take a single tweet or blog post from some random source as absolute fact. Not to mention how susceptible they are to the actual grifters (see: Skywatcher).

I know almost nothing about space, NASA, the cosmos, etc.

It took about 5 minutes of researching, filtering garbage sources, and reading quotes from actual scientists to wipe out all OPs hyperbolic shite.

It's a comet, people. It's an unusual comet.
