These are just my unscientific observations.
When I started my present job nineteen years ago, each week I processed dozens of felony cases, of which the vast majority were drug charges, and of those over half were cocaine.
As time passed, the amount of cases involving cocaine dropped off as heroin cases rose, then the heroin cases began to drop off and methamphetamine cases were the vast majority. By this point, I would see maybe two or three cocaine cases a month.
Over the last year, in conjunction with the rise of fentanyl, cocaine is making a comeback. It is not near the levels they were nineteen years ago, but we've gone from maybe two or three a month to twelve to fifteen.
So, to answer your question, yes.

How many times does that article mention Trump? Pretty sure the author would love to figure out a way to blame the President for this.

Strip tests are cheaper and more readily available than ever, and now the retail guys only stay in business if they're a known dealer of that clean.

I stopped ever doing it about 3 years ago because you never know what's in it. I was equally concerned with meth being in it and causing me to stay up for two days feeling methy as I was fentynal lol.

We really are back. Its like the D.A.R.E era of the 80s and 90s, with the underlying fear of instant death.

druggies must use hand signals, secret winks, nods or something because they can damn sure sniff out whose holding when they're looking for a fix

shite it was $100/g all day back in the 80s. Drugs are the only commodity immune from inflation
