damn. You have to be a piece of shite to not re-evaluate things if you hear that from your 5 year old. You must have felt like total shite at that moment.
Good for you for turning things around ?

No doubt we do. I've raised all kinds of hell with MB.

Me too. Do you know a redneck baw that lived a few streets over MS? I ran around with him quite a bit

Tommy?
I think he lived in a trailer off Blackwater though. I don't know, like I said. I never really said no to drugs and drank like Jim Morrison, so I could very well be wrong.

I don't drink/never have. One of those "life choices" I made as a young person that I stuck with.
Wouldn't change a thing. It has done wonders for me. You other baws' mileage might vary, of course.

That really doesn't surprise me.

Anybody else have reasons for not drinking alcohol?
A lady once asked Old School Presbyterian Stonewall Jackson why he didn't drink whiskey. She suggested-probably because he didn't like it?
No madam, the General replied, I don't drink it because I do like it a great deal.
You can have plenty of fun with or without alcohol. You'll probably remember more of it without.

Of all the drugs I've done and addicts I've been around, PCP is like the Bigfoot of drugs. I've heard and read about it, but don't know anyone that's actually done it or even seen it.

Never taken a drink in my life. My grandfather(mother’s dad) was a raging alcoholic his whole life until he quit cold turkey when I was around 4 or 5 and he was probably 57.As she lay dying my great-grandmother(his mom) asked me(I was 12) to promise not to drink and carouse like my grandfather had and try to act right. As I fought back tears I made that promise back in 1984 which I’ve kept to this day.

I stopped drinking 10 years ago because I had to.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it. However, I know damn well I start again and my life goes out of control.

I don’t drink because my body doesn’t have an off switch.

Both my parents died of alcoholism. My mom had a major life-threatening liver failure during my HS senior exams and my dad was on a business trip. I had to get her to the hospital, which was difficult because she was hallucinating and paranoid.
I am blessed to dislike the taste of most alcohols as well.
I'm not a teatotaller, but I'm pretty close. No beer or spirits, wine only very rarely.

I’m one of those lucky/unlucky people who will get sick long before getting black out drunk. One or two drinks in a sitting is normal and three is almost always my limit. And I mean standard drinks, not a “pour a tall glass half full of vodka and half with cranberry juice and call that one drink” drink

If you aren't having fun unless your drinking, it's time to stop.
Drinking isn’t a requirement to have fun but most activities, not all but most, are more fun if there is an open bar. Judging by the popularity of the bar at said activities, I think most people will agree with me on this point.
