Your brother might be in a bind, but based on what you have said, he’s better off than he should be. Praying for him. Get over some rough spots and he should be in a better position than most. Good luck to him.

My uncle did as a teenager and has lived a pretty long, normal life. He's 72 or so now and still kicking and in decent health for his age.

Man that is tough, I remember seeing the images and thinking how could someone live long enough to get to the hospital then read your update later and thought that is one licky and tough sum bitch.

Sorry for your loss and hope your family can find peace. For the rest of us it is a good reminder how fragile life is and to ensure you never leave things unsaid or adventures unlived because none of us are guaranteed tomorrow no matter how young and healthy we are.

A lady in my church broke her neck some years ago. She recovered but still has pain. She has had at least one surgery since the break.
