I will never understand folks buying a cat. They are everywhere and for the price of a sack of generic dry cat food they will pretend like you are the personification of god on earth until they get moved in good and their contract with satan is discovered.....

If you want a shitty parking lot cat use the sack of niblets method. Don't complain when it pisses up your wall and craps on your pillow. Cats from a reputable breeder are worth the money.

Kinda funny how I ended up adopting him - I got his tuxedo brother as the first one (lost my best pal a couple months prior to searching shelters), and was determined to bring home a second one from the litter. Tuxedo cat (AKA Doc Jackson) passed a few years ago.

Tuxedo launched himself at me, lands in the hood on my sweatshirt, paws around my throat I was like ok either he really wants out or he's going to kill me.

I interacted with all other kittens in the litter, orange female came over and hissed at me so I was like great, what now? So Reggie (adopted orange guy) came walking over like he wanted out. And he was cat 2 going home.

The orange ones really do embody the internet orange cat meme stereotype.

Albinos are orange cats squared. Mine is deaf, has no idea how much chaos he causes between naps...

Really? I had a German shepherd that shed like crazy , I now have two cats and neither shed.

You don't keep a German Shepherd in the house. I had one too. He was an outside dog. Short hair dogs shed much less.

Everyone that had cats inside had cat hair everywhere. That's fricking disgusting. The litter box is icing on the cake.

But it's so cool when they walk all over the kitchen counters and islands where food is prepared.

They're so clean.

Once again, cat haters are confusing bad ownership with bad cats.

My cat got arse whooped first time he jumped on counter

Yeah, I honestly dont hate cats.

That was more of a "single woman cat owner" comment, and I will defend its accuracy. :lol;

I lost my 15 year old dog this past fall. We have another dog but it hates me and constantly acts like I’m going to kill my wife and daughters at any moment. All that to say we have a two year old cat that’s pretty dang cool and I’ve realized my favorite pet at the moment is a cat. Not sure what to think about that. We have another older cat that causes nothing but problems and I kind an of hate it. But yeah, the younger car is pretty great and is one of the least burdensome animals I’ve ever owned. He provides some laughs and asks very little of us in return.

If I wanted something that didn't like me, did their own thing all day, cost money, and needed attention when they demanded I'd just get a wife. At least you can bang a wife.

Until it randomly decides to flip around and claw you because it remembered that you sprayed it with a water bottle 4 months ago.

There are both great and horrible cats and dogs. But the average dog is a better pet than the average cat.

The whole reason dogs have been domesticated over thousands of years to be the ideal human companion. It's in their DNA.

If you live alone and die, your cats will eventually eat you, saves the authorities from finding a decomposing body.

My daughter has cat and he’s the coolest pet I think we’ve had in years. He is an indoor/outdoor cat and exclusively uses the bathroom outside. She keeps him a litter box available, but I can’t remember the last time he used it. So, none of the usual litter box stench to deal with. He doesn’t mess with anything. Just come in and wants to either lay in my daughter or wife’s lap. He sleeps all night at the foot of our bed. And best of all, he leaves me alone.

You have to get a good pure bred cat. Tonkinese or Siamese, but sometimes people get lucky with a regular cat. I trained mine to sit and play fetch and he follows around the house at your heels most of the time. Plays chase back and forth, He's a Siamese and quite a character.

Isn’t it weird how some men are insecure about cats?

To overcome that, maybe at shelters they should advertise cats as pound for pound the best fighters/predators in the animal kingdom…crazy to think about how that’s actually true.

Anyone hear of catjitsu?: LINK
