This is my answer, almost exactly.

I hope her answer would be 0% for me.

The question is, how much of your income is she spending on you?

Varies. But let me tell you what my wife almost pulled this year.

She said, "Let's not get each other presents this year." I thought that was a trap.

About a week later I suggested she buy a coat for me, and she got a smug look on her face. She had already bought a coat for me for Christmas!

I'm thinking of giving her monogrammed kneepads.

My favorite gift has always been an ornament or going to look at Christmas lights. Or football games-SEC Championships, bowl games and National Championships-we always justified those as Christmas gifts.

0%. Wife and I don’t exchange gifts. Now for the kids….. honestly not that much. They get enough but not nearly what you see from the kids whose parents post there haul on FB.

We don’t even buy each other gifts anymore. Donate what we would have spent to the pro-life pregnancy center in town and call it Christmas.

What to you spend on a Christmas present for the wife? I’m probably around two percent.

My fiance would beat my arse if I spent 200 or more.

Why are you deciding on a Christmas present based off a percent of income?

It’s like you heard some cheese dick try hard in a fraternity say that.

Get her something that she wants.
