I approve of the new avatar. It reminds me of the first time I laid eyes on TrimTab

Yeah, I'd be mortified if I found out my kid was swearing around other members. At any age. There's a group of high school boys that's always at the range. I've played a few holes with a couple of them when I'm by myself and the course is busy. Most are the "yes sir" types. But when they group up on the range you here the cursing. Not like adults don't use some foul language occasionally, but the maturity is just not there to gauge how loud they are and how much it's happening in an inappropriate setting.

Need a lot more context to make a ruling here.

If your kid respects you they don't curse in front of you at any age.

As soon as they play golf to a level that generates shitty fricking golf shots.

Age is a number. Some shots absolutely demand to be called a count.

IMO, parents would show a lack of class to tolerate that behavior for a child under the age of 18. Trashy behavior is probably hereditary.

F or MF, never. A good ol damn, crap, shite, etc....once he's old enough to realize why F and MF is totally unnecessary to ever use in all facets of life.

I swear like a sailor at work, in the man cave sitting around the poker table with the boys, on the golf course, at the deer camp….but never around my Dad, my wife, or my kids. My dad is 74, I’m 52, and my son is 26. I can probably count on one hand how many times I’ve heard my dad swear my entire life. My grown son dropped an F bomb while we were talking one day and immediately looked at me and said he was sorry.
It’s weird. I’m sure he knows I cuss up a storm when he is not around and I’m sure the same for him.

If he’s old enough to play 18, he’s old enough to cuss when he hits one in the water

Isn’t swearing part of golf?

I never heard my very blue collar dad say a single bad word until I played golf with him. True story

So, yes.

Never? Profanity is for low class people who don't have a good/wide vocabulary.

I don't think I've ever heard my elderly dad utter a curse word.

Eta: I don't play golf.

Terrible take. Let me guess you say 50 different variations of "bad words" and think you're better because you dad gummit and say oh fudge and shoot and shite like that.

The intent is the same so they mean the same.

I love that you said that. I almost added to my post about my dad that that's the worst I heard him say before golf.
