Where do you live in ATL? Also, rookie move flying out of ATL in the AM. All the experienced travelers know you go between 12-3 to avoid the morons.

I agree with this. The only real downside is that parking can be a bitch this late in the day. Otherwise, lines, security, etc are much easier

I always have headphones on, but never listen to music. I hate talking to people on planes. I just read and pretend to listen to something else.

I don't fly as much as I used to but it pisses me off that TSA screening SOP is different in different airports. Some let you keep your tablet in your bag and some make you put it in its own separate tray while some let you put it in with other stuff. Their inconsistency is annoying.

I haven't parked at the airport in years and never will again. I just uber from home to the nearest marta station (about 1.5 miles away) then take it all the way down to the airport. About 35 minutes, zero traffic concerns, and dropped off practically inside the airport. Can't beat it for $2.50.

I enjoy people watching in the ATL airport. Great when the weather is warm and the shorts and skirts are in full bloom.

Occasional conversations with fellow passengers are nice and every now and then there is a. Person you meet who is fun to talk to as well. So, I am in between liking to talk and wanting to just rest depending upon my mood.

also, i hate the whole flying experience. the security hassle, the lines, the arse backwards boarding procedure. the crowded planes.
It would be awesome if an airline could bring back features from the golden age of travel (mainly, bigger seats, more room, a full bar and meal service, etc.). I wonder if people would pay more to experience that to make up for the missed revenue from shoving a million people into a plane. I guess the answer is "no" since nobody has done it.

Flying is the only time my doc will prescribe me .25 Zanax and with 2 of those little wines for 7 bucks each, the plane is a much less horrible place. I haven't flown in 13 years though. Next time will be first class.

Last year flew on a plane that had two doors, one up front like normal and one in back of plane. Made boarding and exiting really easy.

I travel for work. Noise canceling headphones were the best investment I have ever made in my life.

Sitting at my gate waiting to board my flight to Ohare and I really hope none of these people decide to talk to me on the flight. I hate talking to strangers when I fly.

I get what you are saying, somewhat. But I sure have met some interesting folks at airports and on airplanes, throughout the world.

By the way, why are you "talking" to strangers on the internet, and yet hoping against interacting in-person with people who just might be more interesting than El Gaucho and DumbBamaGrad2027?

Having to wear the uniform. If they'd just let me show up to work in shorts and a wife beater I'd treat my passengers much better.

my best ever flying experience was my trip to Tokyo last year. Huge plane with a bunch of Asian passengers who were all much smaller than your typical American flyer, and most of whom wore the medical face masks and slept the entire trip.

If they would build a plane that boarded from the back and exited from the front, it would be quick and easy.

Most budget carriers (Easyjet, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Jetstar) in Europe and Australia/NZ already do this. It speeds up the boarding time and you can unload/load and turn in less than 30 minutes. However, it is very hard to do this with contact positions (gates with jet bridges). A lot of European airports, especially the ones served by budget carriers have remote stands where you walk to or are bused to the plane. This allows them to put stairs at the front and back of the plane to board in this manner.

Worst is flying into Nola (being a resident) and having a tourist (nonresident) ask for recommendations. Restaurants, attractions, etc.
