Dude get a DNA test.
I got a buddy who got divorced at 42. Started dating this super hot 30 year old chick who everybody knew was a golddigger.
He had alot of sex with her over a 6 month span, then she tells him she is pregnant. When he asked for a DNA test she went ballistic. It got nasty. Baby is born and she decides to take him to court. He laughs at her and sends her attorney a certified copy of the doctors records where he had a vasectomy at age 28 after his second child was born (before he got divorced or met the golddigger), and also a current test showing he had zero sperm count.
Again she is furious and threatens to sue him for not disclosing the fact that he had a vasectomy.
He is the GOAT of "congrats on the sex".
And last I heard the golddigger still didnt know who else the baby daddy was.

Holy wall of text Batman. Sounds like she's not the only one with issues. I will give you one piece of wisdom... you cannot control other people's actions, only your own. Look at it from her POV: a pregnant woman's SO of two years saying he didn't want the baby and leaving her... oh and also talking to his boss about it before her. Sounds like from what you said you were in the relationship for mere convenience, and when it got real you abandoned it. You are both responsible and need to start acting like adults.

Just having read all that, I find it hard to believe that none of this stuff revealed itself prior to her getting pregnant by you. You should have either wrapped it up, or got snipped. Your bad. Now you have to pay for a Lawyer, and likely pay her for support. Your bad.

Both you and the woman are miserable because you are both very dumb. I feel bad for you. You knocked up someone at 40, posted up at the bar when you found out she was pregnant, did everything wrong, don't understand the legal quagmire you are in, have probably consigned your kid to a life of poverty, and can't even set up voicemail on your phone.
In centuries past, you would be condemned to life as a serf or just plain dead. All of this could have been prevented and all of you would be wealthier, healthier, and happier with what I would call totally obvious good decision-making. We shouldn't be asking people of your diminished abilities and judgment to navigate the modern world responsibly, IMO.
I hope it all works out for you guys, but my money's not on it.
