Scholarships cover all her fees, books, rent, tuition, etc.
Her car is old, reliable, and paid for. We cover her phone and insurances. $75 per week for incidentals, including gas and eating out, etc.

I pay for everything. Cars, car insurance, room and board, tuition, health insurance -whatever they need. If they were little shits - I’d veto all that. As long as they work hard , have a job, are full time students and maintain great grades I’m more than happy to spoil them.

My parents covered my truck (paid for), truck insurance, health insurance, and phone bill. I covered or borrowed the rest.

You are crippling that kid. Just a heads up.

Did, all the above.

Scholarship pays for tuition and fees. We cover everything else. Had a job over the Summer so saved up some spending cash. Has no car at school since he's from out of state.

I was on scholarship. Parents gave me $100 a week. I had to make it work but wasn’t too bad.

I pay everything.
My folks paid for everything up until I graduated college, then it ended from them.
I intend to do the same for my youngins.
Of course tuition when I went was about $2 G/ year. Now it's $12 G/ year

Insurance, some gas and groceries if he decides to ask. He has a 90 percent scholarship and works in the summer for the rest.

I've never made as much money, and been as poor, in my life. I commented in the "Who has it worse" thread, middle and upper middle class folks get the shaft. You make too much money to score on grants or much financial assistance, but don't make enough to pay for college.
One of the funniest things I’ve seen was a guy at work approached on the street by a bum, explaining how broke he was and asking for a handout. My colleague let go a diatribe for the ages about what all he had to pay for and the debt he had incurred (college, House note, etc), and with a straight face asked the bum if he had any money to help out. Hilarious. The bum didn’t know wth to say.

I’ve always told them they need a good job to support me later on. That’ll be the payback.
iPhone, it’s bill and laptop are also on me.
Can’t wait until its all done.

I'm not far removed from college.
My parents covered my fees (TOPS covered tuition) freshman year while I lived at home. We had a falling out over stupid shite (I was young and dumb, knew everything).
I moved out, got a pretty good paying job waiting tables 40-50 hrs/week, and told them I could take care of myself, if I needed help I'd ask for it.
My last semester in college they covered my final 6 hours as a graduation present. As a result I got to manage a bar (made less money than waiting tables). Made for a hell of a fun last semester.
Out of all the kids in my family, I was the only one that graduated with no debt and good credit. I was also the only one that got little to no financial help.
My kids will get what they need, but they most certainly will not get what they want.

Paid for car
Pay insurance
Paid tuition WHEN he was doing well. When he had a bad semester we forced him to get student loans so he had incentive to do well. We will pay that off when he graduates provided he continues the success he’s had.
He pays his rent with roommates.

Not there yet but will hopefully have around 80-100k saved and earmarked towards my kids college if they choose that route.. doesn’t mean all that money will be spent on college but it’s there for our descretion.. I’m encouraging them to strive for scholarships because that will allow them more entertainment money and possibly decrease the need to have a job..

Every kid is different.
You gotta know them to determine the appropriate level of subsidy.

Paying for half her tuition TOPS paid for the other half, we paying for the books and her gas to get to and from school. She will start paying her car insurance and will pay for food if she wants to eat while at school. Works 3-4 days a week while in school and a really good kid so we have no problem paying for her schooling.
