My friend, grab a beer and a late night snack, and let me introduce you to Josh Morgerman riding out the perfect storm that was Category 5 Hurricane Dorian as it raked the Bahamas for hours.
This is some of the most intense hurricane footage you will ever see.
But that is probably not what he would tell you was the worst storm he's been in. That would likely go to Super Typhoon Haiyan.
Josh Morgerman (iCyclone) Haiyan Coverage
This guy was with him for Haiyan and also documented that storm.
James Reynolds (Earth Uncut) in Haiyan
Careful watching some of the Haiyan videos. There are dead people visible in some of the footage.

Right now, 120 w/150 gusts. Local Tampa weather just said daylight is going to bring the pain. It is light outside and in 90 minutes this big bitch is going to be 132 w/160 gusts.
By 8pm, they are calling for 138 and 165.

We have any overnight model runs or updates? Quiet overnight. Also- any feeds to follow as this thing shows up in the islands?

I know the latest GFS shifted well north almost to Mexico/Texas border as a weak tropical storm on it's 6z run

Check this link out that shows where every cruise ship is in the world. You can click on each ship to highlight their itinerary. Rhapsody of the Seas and that Celebrity one are in for a rough ride.

Models are pretty much in agreement now on a yucatan landfall and then north Mexico/extreme south Texas.

Beryl should be back to Cat 4 at 7am wiht what the HH are finding

Yeah frick that CEMI shite.

Assuming Beryl does not track the CEMI, based on the current track that is more south than yesterday. I am still planning to go to Playa Mujeres from Wednesday to Sunday.
I know its not ideal but I think I am far enough north from the projected Mexico landfall.

Good luck. My wife's reservations on Mujeres just got cancelled by the hotel.

Looks like Beryl is back to a 4 and intensifying. Ouch for the islands. Intensifying makes it more violent.

I read somewhere that 50% of the houses were destroyed and nearly 98% had roof damage on Dominica when Hurricane Maria rolled through there.
The Windward Islands are beautiful but being stuck there during a hurricane is scary as frick.

Barbuda was uninhabitable for a couple years after Irma
