I was a Fit Bit guy for about three years, the second one broke after 18 months and I went to Apple. Google’s acquisition of FB makes me not look back.

The only thing I miss is the shorter charging duration. The Apple peripherals associated with their watch more than make up for the charging time in my opinion.

I run, cycle, swim (a bit) and hike; for those purposes I’m fine. Obviously I haven’t tried all other platforms, I can’t imagine them being that much better to integrate with the iPhone that I’m not going to change from.

WHOOP an its not even close

Whoop heart rate tracking is so inaccurate. Great for sleep data and the new advanced lab function.

Garmin with a chest strap best for fitness tracking.

An hour workout kills nearly the entire battery

or you could just get a Garmin and charge it once a week.

Garmin watches are far superior to Apple's expensive crap. I don't understand why any adult needs their watch to also be a fully functional phone. A kid, sure, an adult, that's just silly.

No it does not at all. I average an hour in the gym or on the bike 5 days a week and the battery is just fine. I never have to recharge it because of a workout.

That said, I have a newer Apple Watch 10 that has great battery life. But my SE before that did not have problems either.

Because they’re more worried about their text messages and where their next cheeseburger comes from

I’ve been using an Apple Watch for about a year. I got it for the health tracking and in particular tracking my sleep. The sleep tracking appears to be spot on. I use it to track my blood pressure as well.
It has proved to be quite durable and is waterproof down to 30 m so I’m pretty happy with it.

What is your problem with it?

I had a Fitbit fitness watch but I had to get rid of it.
Got tired of the same message everyday.

Anyone with recs for garmin vs whoop? I’m interested in health and sleep tracking. I use my phone for running. My Fitbit crapped out and am looking to change.

I just put mine on the charger when I take it off. Hasn’t been an issue and I don’t give it a second thought.

Garmin Vivoactive 4

This is not a bad one. Pulse ox works kind of sketchy but it's fine overall. I got a refurb about 3 yrs ago. Got a fenix 6 mainly for golf and realized it's terrible for that. Watch works well though.

Fitbit was perfect but now you have to move to a Google account which I am loathe to do and I'll lose my API setup and have to start over

I went off-brand. I wear an Amazfit T-Rex 3. I have to charge it once every 16 or so days. I've had an apple watch and a couple different fitbits. This watch destroys them.

I used to have an Apple Watch and I switched to an Garmin after a couple years. I hear you but then you gotta remember to always have a charger around. And to those that say they just charge it when they sleep like their phone, you sort of miss the point of having the functionality. I just simply don’t have time to plan my day around my watch battery. One less thing to have to plan/think about. I just charge my garmin once a week or so. I do miss the Apple Pay functionality when running or if I forget my wallet though.
