That was Password. If I'm not mistaken, there was litigation over this. The contestant felt like the laughing and ridicule she received after the answer was a bit much. I searched and couldn't find anything about the litigation.

It's a whole circle of weird.
But yeah some articles have he helped them out. Others don't. The show banned him completely though going forward.
The big deal out of all of this iirc was apparently TPIR lost it's arse on the prize budget throughout the week and then this happened.

the Family Feud where the contestants were supposed to give different names that one would use for their mother. This one woman kept giving the same answer but would pronounce it differently each time. Hysterical.

It was a simple slip of mind because "Osama" and "Obama" sound similar.
