Guess I've been hanging out at the wrong shops lately.

There was another restaurant on top of Maison Blanche, any idea what the name was?
Hmm, I don't recall that. I know that Dillard's had something on the 2nd floor for awhile where you could get food at. It wasn't in a separate room, it was just out there amongst all their merchandise.

TBH,Sears used to be my favorite department store to visit. Loved the huge electronics section and the tool section.

there was a separate room restaurant in a store. I believe it was the Cortana Godchaux's.
It was similar to the cafeteria in the Main Street Godchaux's. I can recall waiting in line like picadilly style, and playing with a new He-Man character, BuzzOff.

I always thought the entrance from inside the mall into Goudchaux's/Maison Blanche was awesome looking. And that Bojangle's dude was a wife killer.

Here's how every thread like this ends up:
Me: "I used to like that place Orange Bowl. Owned by an Asian family, had good pizza and those awesome orange slushies"
Random poster: "Oh, you mean Orange Julius."
Me: "No. Orange BOWL"

Obj angles is where I got my ears pierced in the 70's.
I remember picking out what I wanted on my tshirt and it would get ironed on. What was the name of the airbrushing place across from Mama Bravo's and was he the same guy that did the iron on's?

I used to work in the Sears Paint Department at Cortana. If you bought paint from there in 1993-94, it might have been from me...

I used to love Babbages when I was a kid. That's where I went for any new game that was coming out.
And after Service Merchandise moved out, I loved shopping at Steve and Berry's. You could pick up a boatload of clothes incredibily cheap.
And someone mentioned Merry Go Round. Is that the store that sold the Z-Cavarricis?

I used to mix automotive paints...It's a scientific fact that women can choose colors better than men.
And back then, people used to actually retire from Sears.

They put their own dated stickers on each tape purchased there. They warranted them. If/when the tape got ate up by a tape player, you could bring them back for partial store credit.
