I’m sure the staff was very apologetic

Airport locations don't even accept the mobile app ordering or gift card redemptions.

Their food is filled with added sugar. Just an FYI to those who think they are eating higher quality fast foooood.

Stopped at the one in Gonzales for lunch a few days ago. Was about 11:00 and already had a line wrapped around the building.
One person working outside came up to my car and took my order and I paid. Super pleasant.
About 3 minutes later I was being handed my receipt. Again, super pleasant.
About 2 minutes after that I was being handed my food. Again, you guessed it, super pleasant.
Their model is unbeatable.

MSY had minority franchise ownership requirements. This is what you get.

Now, since you’re at the airport, take a flight outside of places like NOLA, BTR, and the like to other airports and see if the service you get at their Chick FIL a’s aren’t light years different.
Overall, I find the biggest difference in customer service I get from places in this neck of the woods and elsewhere in the United States I have traveled to in my time on this planet is in “Attitude”. It’s pretty shitty, and yet that’s probably the absolute most important quality you look for when hiring people to become a part of your company and team... ATTITUDE... It can make or break you.

It was bad enough that I used to order that with their waffle fries, but I would tell them, "give me four more packs of sauce" and dip my fries in that, not realizing I was adding the equivalent calories of eating an additional cheeseburger to my meal.
Yeah, their food is tasty, and filled with sugar.

Think of the challenge they will have when they open the new locations IN the City of New Orleans...

MSY location is ran by Aramark or Delaware south. Certainly not the same standards as other locations.
It will be interesting to see how they pull off the upcoming New Orleans locations staffing, especially Tulane and carrolton intersection.

Millerville is showing signs of slipping. "My pleasure" as an answer is gone and all requests are met with an eyeroll. Is it to much to ask to get extra napkins? Or expect all of the family's food to not be squished into one overflowing bag?

The kind Christians are not going to drive to the airport everyday, park in a lot, then ride an employee shuttle, then go thru security to get to a cramped in counter-style location.
They only have work at airport types to chose from.

Those storefronts in airports arent run by the actual restaurants themselves. They license their name/product out to companies like aramark or sodexo or whatever other shitty services like that are around.

All the ones in the Birmingham area I've been to run like well-oiled machines and the customer service is fantastic.

I have 3 Chick-fil-A stores within 5 miles of my house and every one of them has terrible service. My order is wrong almost every time. The one that actually has a dining room open finally never has anyone at the counter to work it because drive thru is all they care about. I think it says more about the kids they hire than management. They want to socialize so much on the job that they don’t even listen to your order.

quote:Airport is the common denominator. If you got food from the one at the Birmingham airport, you'd have to check the sign to make sure you were really at Chick Fil A. Bizzaro world compared to stand alones, out in town. Pretty sure their employees at the airport, didn't go thru the customer service training and/or threw out training manaul.
